Driving on the Continent

How not to annoy the locals

Have you ever had any dilemmas about driving in Europe? Drinking alcohol when driving is absolutely out of question, but, how about drinking water? Smoking can be overlooked as a social cultural trait in Greece, but is it allowed to smoke there when at the wheel? The old saying "slowly but surely" may prove right in Finland, where in winter the speed limit drops by 20km/h on most motorways.

Auto Europe's "Driving on the continent guide" will equip you with useful and not so well-known information about driving in Europe! Before setting off on your dream holiday, be sure to check Auto Europe's unbeatable prices on car hire on the market, as well as thousands of car pick-up locations. Our reservation agents will be happy to assist you with your booking over a free telephone line, or, alternatively, you can book a car rental online through our user-friendly booking engine.

Picture it. Blue sky. An ever blue-er sea. The open road in front of you. OK, now take that, and add a lot of very angry European drivers beeping at you because you're careening towards them on the right side of the road. Driving on the continent is nearly always a pleasurable experience, but our handy guide will help you to avoid annoying local drivers, while still getting the most out of your vacation.
