I assumed the same and was therefore very surprised to see the level of charge in the small print AFTER I had confirmed and paid for the car rental. We didn't know what to do in this scenario and it wasn't explained to us what we should do if this occurred. " Autoeurope was not accurate in advertising vs. delivery. A free second driver was plastered all over the webpage, all they way through the booking and payment. It was very clear that the second driver would be added for free. But when the voucher came through, it listed a very hight price if you wanted to opt for an extra driver.... That was outrageous "

So thought it would be a Focus, 308 or even Skoda type car. Further car petrol cap was very tough to get out, the unlock lever only worked now and then. Lastly they charged over 60 euros to hire a car seat for toddler. Seems extortionate. Cheaper to buy one. "

" Booking with Auto Europe is pretty straightforward and I have been doing it for number of years now. "
" The car in question had winter tyres on, which in high temperatures over 30°C is extremely dangerous, as any mechanic would tell you. Suffice to say that it highly influenced my quality of driving in such temperatures and also in torrential rain. Also, checked the documents a couple of days before drop off and was absolutely shocked that they lent me a car with invalid insurance card! The insurance expired a few days before I picked the car from Bratislava airport!!! How were they even allowed to lease a car that didn't have insurance in order??? I always thought of Budget as a decent company after years of renting from them, but this was absolutely awful. My driving this car could have ended in tragedy! To satisfy demand for cars in the busy holiday period, they seem to compromise on overal safety. "

" To pick up the car I was a bit nervous , as the counter staff was so precise to find all the scratches or damage on the car, also warned me of any damage or late return going to be a costly to me, even though I had bought extra insurance to cover me for silly scratches if it would had happened during my stay in Bratislava, but to my disbelief on my way back to return the car, a lady in staff counter was absolutely brilliant, she was very professional, very friendly, so kind, after she checked out the car, she reassured me that everything was fine with the car, so she lifted a big stress from me, I wish I could remember her name so I could write a big thanks to her , but over all she had the best customer service I ever come a cross, if I had a company I would loved she work for me, thanks again to her , and I hope she forgive me by not remembering her name, best of luck with her career. " Once booked, everything was very straightforward. I didn't like the first car because it had stickers all over it looking like an agent/rep car but was able to swap it and that was fine. The car I got, a Dacia, was super lazy and not very nice to drive but I chose that out of the cars available so I guess it's down to me, too. The whole process was easy and the staff at the airport lovely, thank you! "

" I have missed my flight from Stansted airport to Bratialava on Friday morning then I had another flight but to Vienna on Friday evening. I called Auto Europe requesting if I can collect other car from Vienna airport or collect my car on Saturday morning from Bratislava airport. I found Auto Europe lady is not very helpful at all. She told me that I can not collect another car from Vienna airport and also it will be unlikely that the car will be kept to me and it will be nonrefundable. She asked me to call Alamo myself to find out what they can do for me. I had to call Alamo myself who informed that the car will be available at Bratislave airport on Saturday morning and I can not replace it and get a car from Vienna airport. So I had to travel from Vienna (where I stayed) to Bratislava airport. and collected the car. They charged me £30 because I said that I will use it in Vienna. I did not know that I will pay £30 if I crossed the border. "

" When I was struggling in my dealings with Buchbinder there was no one who I could speak to from Auto Europe. I believe you should have someone available while the companies you are using are open for business. "
" I was really disappointed at the attitude of the counter staff. Although the car was booked for 9am my group and I were attending a wedding 3.5 hours away so wanted to get a good start. I therefore got to the airport at 7.50am and was delighted to see that the counter opened at 8am. However nobody came to open at 8am(unlike the other rental counters) so I called the mobile number and asked what time they would open. I was asked 'what time is your booking', I told him 9am but explained my situation, and was told 'I am in the car park and I'm very busy, I will be there at nine'. I again asked if I could at least get the paperwork sorted to I could take the car at nine and was told 'I'll be there at nine'. He then arrived at 9.05am with no comment on being late, and just about dealt with my car in between personal texts and walking to other rental counters with no explanation of what was happening. I finally managed to drive away at 9.30am which meant my group and I started the day with unnecessary stress. Can't fault the car at all, but having known the booking was for six people the parcel shelf was left in the car and in Ford S Max there is absolutely nowhere to put it when the rear seats are in use. Another complete unnecessary negative on an otherwise satisfactory rental. "

" The overall service in Bratislava was ok, there was only a confusion about the difference between what a mini and an economic car is. Once I was told it is the engine size, now I was told is the amount of doors the car has. I am still not quite sure what is now correct, and the country car fleet guide is not explaining the difference clearly. I would be happy to be able to choose from the engine size as well. "

" Quality car(Citroen C4 )with only 3000 Km,s on the clock.We travelled over to Austria so we had to pay extra for the green card but that was was made clear when we booked plus a small charge of 8 euro to use the Austrian roads, so no nasty surprises.We always take our own Garmin satnav but this car came with navigation which was another plus at no extra cost. "
" Return procedure not that clear . No one to greet us in the car park so we had to walk into the airport reception .Then we had to return to the car park and wait ,fortunately ,only a few minutes ,so it was no big deal and we had plenty of time to spare.All in all we were very pleased. "

" I have never had a problem with auto europe, I have used them before & they are usually competitive on price & the cars are as specified & sometimes upgraded "
" We hired 3 cars & arrived a the budget office at approx 5.45pm & were told that we all had to pay an additional 48euro each (as it was out of hours- where as our receipt said the office closed at 6) In the end we had to pay an additional 20euro each. Had I been on my own & not been for the fact that there were 3 car loads of us plus one other family I would have been scammed for the full 48euro! "
