The S-Bahn, regional trains and buses are available from the airport. With the Autobahn and highly-maintained roads in Germany, it is quite easy to visit surrounding cities such as Hamburg or Dresden.
Parking lots are located throughout the city of Berlin and while some of these lots are free, many you will have to pay a couple of euros for. You will generally have to pay for any lots in the centre of the city. It is advised that you park your rental car outside this area if possible and travel into the city on public transport as many 'Park & Ride' facilities exist on the outskirts. Some hotels will also offer their guests parking space.
