    Location: The airport is situated only one and a half miles in the northwestern direction from Parma, within the Emilia Romagna region.
    Airlines operating at Parma Airport: Ryanair is the only passenger airline operating at the airport, with routes to Cagliari, Trapani, and London-Stansted.


    Parma Airport was opened in 1980. The one terminal building is very modest in size, and therefore, easy to navigate. The departures are to the right from the entrance.

    Your car hire from Parma Airport will be with our partner supplier Hertz. The car hire desk is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 1pm and again from 2.30pm to 6.30pm. On Sundays the desk is closed.

    Transportation / How to get to the airport

    Driving your car hire to Parma is very easy, as the drive only takes about 10 minutes when you follow the Str. Dei Mercati. To explore the broader region, you can easily head to Milan via the A1 in the northern direction (the drive takes about an hour and a half), or heading south on the A1, you can drive to Florence in just over two hours.     As the city of Palma is so close to the airport, you can also travel there with public transportation. Bus number 6 operates a service between the airport and the Parma railway station between 6.30am and 8pm. Or you can use the bus services to the broader region offered by the company Andromeda.

    Parking Tips

    In Parma, you can either choose to park on the street and pay using a parking meter, or leave your car in a car park. One car park close to the historic centre is Repubblica, which is also open 24 hours for your convenience.
