" Our advance reservation was cancelled by Aloma at the desk. Pick was 10 am but we arrived at 11.30 due sickness after landing because of our little girl. No call received before cancellation. Our car was given someone else . I never experienced before. We have been offered £500 worth vehicle instead of £120 was paid In advance. All other car rental companies were fully booked . We made a complaint but no refund received. First day at Krakow was nightmare due to not to have a car and further ravelling to another city over 4 hours . We made a complaint but no refund received. " Very pleased with the service provided by the staff on pick up, they were quick, friendly and helpful. However, one thing that I wasn't quite so pleased with was being given an automatic rather than the manual that I had booked. I am aware, when booking, that it states that you might not get the exact same car as you request. It was suggested that this was an upgrade but surely, just like any other product that you buy, you should reasonably expect it to be much the same as the one you book. I don't consider that being given an automatic rather than a manual to be like for like. For this reason I have marked down my customer experience and feel that some sort of recompense should be offered. "

" The tyres were underinflated, as indicated by the warning lamp on the dashboard. Surely, this should have been checked before the car was handed over. By the time I noticed it, it was too late to return to the pick up point. Although I ordered SatNav, the car itself did not come with in-built SatNav, nor was I given a portable device. When I received the final invoice, I was charged for SatNav. Alamo quickly rectified this when I pointed this out to them. In addition, the counter staff at the pick up incorrectly recorded my driver's licence number, which meant that I was not able to open the documents that were e-mailed to me. Not a big deal, just annoying. "

" I have gone with Auto Europe for over 15 years however when an issue arose, we found the obstacles that where put in place where all by Auto Europe and not Alamo who we ended up going to direct who where very helpful and managed to resolve the issues swiftly and efficiently, Auto Europe's call handler did her best but was guided by her manager who tried to get us to cancel and rebook when it was completely unnecessary and would have cost us an additional £255. The protocols in place for the call handler where very limited and need to be reviewed if you want to retain loyal customers. "
" After an exceptionally professional, courteous and very helpful experience on arrival this was somewhat marred on departure by an accusation that we had damaged a wheel during our hire, this was obviously untrue as our photographs showed at the time. The reason we went with Alamo was we have always had a good experience with them and they have always been honest and easy to deal with unlike a lot of the rogue companies, they are not the cheapest but one of the more reputable . Instances like this do nothing for there reputation and although probably just an oversight, had I not had photographic evidence it would have been to my expense. I am due to visit Krakow again in 3 weeks and have already booked with Alamo prior to this visit, However I may review this booking. "

" I was unaware that I'd picked up the car about an hour early resulting in the return being about 90 mins over. I was charged an additional fee for being slightly over the contract period. Had I been made aware this would be the case I could have least worked around it. A day and a half additional rental as a penalty is beyond a joke and not something I have ever experienced with your competitors. The staff etc were fine but they should have made me aware of the potential of a late return fee due to an early pick up. "

" Apart from what seemed an attempt to persuade me to upgrade to a larger car with SATNAV, and then being given the size of car I reserved which had SATNAV anyway, it was the most seamless car hire experience I've ever had outside the UK. Returning the vehicle was very straightforward and involved no waiting whatsoever. "

" I rent and paid for a car online. When I got there to collect it I had to wait 2 hours with 2 little kids because nobody was at the desk. When the staff fnally arrived he said he only needed couple of signatures. But it didn't end there! I requested two car seats but didn't go ahead with them as I was going to be charged €120( I could buy 2 brand new seats for this price) the guy asked then for a credit card to secure deposit. We did not have one, we have never had it, but we both had debit cards. He said in this case we are forced to buy a full protection insurance which I after found to be included with a package I have already paid for. We ended up paying over £320 double what was shown on the website. People please be aware. These people want to take every penny possible out of you! They used the chance that our kids were allover the place and we wanted to be out of the airport as we had 4 hour journey ahead of us. Proper fraud! "

I eventually figured out that I had to get out on level 6 and walk down to level 5.5 This is not a problem with the hire company as you don't own or maintain the lift but it would help if you can advise the customers that the lift actually won't stop at the half levels and you have to get out at the level above or below and climb or decline to the half level. "
