" I would be happy to recommend the Sarande office of Enterprise if you are hiring a car in Albania. "
" The Enterprise office is close to the port so is very handy if arriving by ferry. It is however on a busy junction so can get quite chaotic when picking up and dropping off the car. The representative was friendly and the check in process was painless. I had taken out the full insurance with AutoEurope so there was no pressure to take out any extra. Once the check in had been completed I was taken outside to the car which was a recent Susuki Swift. The representative then took a series of photos and suggested I do the same. These photos were then emailed to me. Driving in Albania is an experience !!! On returning the car the representative went around checking with what I would describe as an expert but not microscopic eye and finding no damage signed the car of as OK and once again emailed through confirmation of the return. "

" Auto Europe booking process is very easy but it's disappointing when the rental company does not honour the agreement. "
" Agreement was fuel full to full, they changed their agreement to fuel same to same, which was half to half tank, which is difficult to judge and I returned the car with over half a tank of fuel. This is not acceptable. On return of the car I was charged €10 for cleaning, the car wasn't particularly dirty. EXER said this was in the agreement, I could not find this anywhere and I have been renting cars for years and never had this charge. Also the car had many small scuffs and scratches which meant I had to take many photos to prove no damage occurred during my rental. "

" Previous experiences with AutoEurope have been good. But this was an absolute disaster. "
" Albania RAC should be de-listed. Arrived at downtown rental location to collect car, there is no location, it's in a currency exchange shop. Was handed the keys and there was no child seat as pre-booked. It took an hour for an employee to arrive with a car seat. Once I had the seat I attempted to fit it and the rear seat belts didn't work. Then had a 1 1/2 hour round trip to their main depot at the airport to swap car, completely negating the one way fee I paid €60 for. Upon arriving at main depot only car they had in same class had a cracked windscreen and engine warning light on saying oil change needed. They told me I could take it, have something smaller or pay for an upgrade. None of these are acceptable offers. Then half way round the trip heard a banging sound from front passenger wheel. Upon inspection both front tyres were literally down to the threads with little rubber and it was one of these threads which was coming out and was causing the banging. Admittedly I should have checked this but not acceptable. All in all, very poor customer service and utterly unacceptable, highly unsafe, cars. "

" Poor customer service. I had to call twice the uk office. The first agent instead of being helpful and finding a solution, blamed me. " it's your fault sir for not having a credit card" therefore we can't help you. The line went down. I called again. The second agent advised to fill up a form and the company will see what they can do. I ended up paying for the same rental twice, AUTO EUROPE and SISILY by CAR. "
" Firstly, I had to rent the car again because I didnt have a credit card for the initial deposit. I had no choice but to could rent through them directly and leave a deposit of £300 via Debit card, that didn't makes sense. Secondly I was given a different car to the one I had initially booked. The car was vibrating on the road, I couldn't drive more 40 miles per hour. I The wipers were very noisy and not cleaning the windows properly. I won't be hiring anymore from them. "

" When i first got there i was given a vehicle i didnt pay for but it was a decent vehicle, the next day they called and change that vehicle and gave me a disgusting vehicle which was all scratched up which i have video evidence for. As i am from Albania but only from family decent they felt as if they could do me over. " I asked if it had a gps device he checked my confirmation email and said yes. On pick up we were told not to check the car as the parking ticket would expire and we would have to pay. I took a couple of photos and a 15second video in a dark car park then got in the car and drove 40 metres to the exit gave the ticket to the guy in the booth and was told to pay 3 milek which I contested and was told no pay no open the barrier, we drove 30 mins to elbersan, the glove box was checked for the gps it was not there neither was it in the door pockets. The next morning we noticed the screws holding the front bumper on and damage all over the car. When the car was returned there was no one on the desk and had to look on the other desk. We found the guy handed the hire document gave the key back. "

" It was the most bizarre car hire experience that I've ever had. The address in Durres on the voucher didn't exist. The Hotel eventually phoned and was told that the car would be delivered to us. It arrived, driven by Mikal. He took a photo of my passport and then gave me a copy of what I presume was the contract but as it is all in Albanian it could say anything. I wasn't asked to sign it. When I asked where I should return the car he suggested Tirana airport and for an extra 20 euros we could then be dropped off at our hotel in the city. We handed over the cash but it all seemed a bit dodgy! Mikal then drove us to the start of the road south, handed over the keys and told me that it needed petrol. It was empty. The car also stank of cigarettes and there was rubbish on the floor. There wasn't even the tiniest Europcar sticker anywhere and I began to wonder if we'd been given some random stranger's car for the week!! However it was fine to drive. When we eventually arrived back at Tirana airport 7 days later it was very difficult to know where to return the car as there are lots and lots of car rental huts scattered all around. They're not in one place. We kept asking but no-one knew. Eventually someone spotted us and flagged us down and it turned out to be the person who was waiting for the car. We mentioned the arrangement to take us into Tirana and after a couple of phone calls he did drive us to our hotel. I am convinced that the cars are kept at Tirana airport and not at Durres at all. Perhaps this is something that you should check up on. Although I've hired cars abroad many times before I did find it all rather unnerving. "

" • We arrived on time to pick up the car (as per the start time it was booked out in the order request) but we were told the car was not available yet and we had to wait 20 minutes • An hour later (without any update from the staff behind the counter) we asked again when the car would be ready – we were renting an apartment for our time in Tirana and the host was waiting for us to arrive • We were told it would be another 10 minutes so we waited • Half an hour later (again, without any update from the staff behind the counter) we went up to ask again and they said it would be 5 minutes – at this point we were basically the only people left in the airport and had been waiting over an hour and a half for the car! • 5 minutes later a family (which we assume were other customers who had the car we were renting) came to the desk and there was a huge argument between the family and the RAC Albania staff behind the desk • One of the RAC Albania staff members went to start a physical fight with one of the sons of the family (although I think this was provoked) • Whilst the police tried to calm down the situation, another member of staff then took us outside to the car and just said "you've got 4 minutes to get out of the airport before it charges you and we run empty to empty – so you've got to get petrol" and left us • There was a broken side mirror and the car was covered in bird poo plus we were not told where to go or where we needed to drop the car off etc., we were just left to sort it ourselves • Overall it was extremely disorganised and we felt distressed / unsettled during the fight as we felt stranded being the only people left in the airport in a foreign country. "

" A good value and fairly convenient rental, with very helpful staff and speedy pick up/return. However the vehicle was not completely satisfactory. It was not that new, rather dirty and worn inside at the time of delivery. While driving it became apparent that one front light was out of action, the windscreen wipers needed replaced and there was no washer fluid. It was impossible to top this up as the bonnet could not be opened, due to the fact that the lever inside the car had been broken and was inoperable. "

" This company its not what it seems like they simply font care for the customer and are not interested in you as a person but in your money, in return of little or no service at all, staff very cold and not helpful, l will not recomend it to any one as l have no nice things to say but only complains, I went to the office to collect the car and found out that just because l did not have a credit card they could not proceed, after a long discution they said we can do a new sale for you which mean l had to pay 5 times the original price and no refund or deduction of the original rent agreement which meant thay kept that money just because they felt that way, l felt corrnered just because lnhad a small baby and other family members waiting to be transported so l had no choice but take the new deal as l need it the vehicale, the staff from autoeurope were very cold and not helpful at all all the sugestions they were making was to get the new rental agreement, the worst thing was that they done a new deal using that same bank card that they refused in the first place, l feel cheated and been robbed of my money, autoeurope accepts no responsibility which shows what kind of service they are offering, wether l am wrong or right l will take the matter further to get to the bottom of this, and l will make sure that this complain goes on the paper aswell. All l can say is DO NOT RENT THROUGH THIS COMPANY AS FROM MY POINT OF VIEW THEY DO NOT OFFER GOOD CUTOMER SERVICE. "

" Fairly uncomplicated provision of the vehicle but not advised that in Albania the law states that vehicle lights must be on at all times including broad daylight. Vehicle was in pretty poor condition, such as no rear light on drivers side, fuel gage didn't work, front main bulb went on drivers side and cigarette lighter didn't work when wished to use it to for charging a device. "
