However, we later learned that a green card has not been needed for several years. Basically, we were conned by the Sixt officer. "

" The staff were so friendly. However, the car was so old and patched up. It does not even have even reverse senser. Although I am very experienced driver, and can drive many different cars without given instruction, it will be nice, and may be more respectful, if the guy who gave us the key would spend a few minutes going through the key points of the car, and what is the procedure in case of an emergency. We have been asked to sign for the car condition report before even the car was inspected. So basically, we signed on a blank paper. This worried me so much as I ended up taking pictures of all dents and scratches of the car before I drove. We have paid the rental agency online in The Uk extra for a full insurance, but Alamo wanted to hold €900 on my credit card. I though this was over excessive amount. Last year, the amount was about €500. The same when handed back the car, we must sign for its condition without inspection. The report came a few minutes later via email. Despite retuning the car with any damage, I was so worried as I could not tell whether I was liable for extra payment. Luckly, we were not travelling back to the UK immediately after the retuning the car, so we went back to the rental kiosk to ensure that we will not have surprises for additional charges when we are back home later. The Guy at the rental office told nothing to worry about – we have returned the car as per the collection condition. So, there will be no charges. Why we have been told this when we retuned the car? We literally wasted so much time for nothing. Overall all, I think the process needs be a bit professionalism "

I was at Belgrade airport and needed to call the local agent for shuttle pickup, but the phone number was for Zagreb office. It took 30min to finally get the correct number. Autoeurope needs to sort this out. "

" Best car hire experience I have been using hired car almost for everywhere which means few Asian counties, UAE, Africa and most of Europe plus including the UK where I live It was my best car hiring experience by far First I just booked an economy class car and it was just 4K km car almost brand new automatic transmission car , was really surprised so I do not need to tell more about car condition Btw they only have Kia and Volvo from main dealers and they are all fairly used still smells fresh Secondly customer service ; my flight was delayed 4 hours and their office was closed when my flight has arrived Milos who is the company assistant was waiting for me which was a great start It happened to me before in Amsterdam and no one was waiting for me so instead of that they refunded money He was very friendly and hospitable person then he took us to the office to sign the documents while we're there then my gf left her coat at the office , we were called straight away to be aware of it and they kept it in safe for us We are extra grateful for their kindness Lastly , Hiring prices are extremely low which made me to think about twice before booking with them but I can advise that wouldn't be questionable for you after my experience I asked to company assistant (Milos) why it's much cheaper than other known companies and he said they are new company in this market and want to get known first instead of making profit so while they still have their this policy , great way to get advantage for us All over I had great experience with everything whatever I was expecting from my car hire Belin "

" IF Auto Europe resolved this scam by Avis Belgrade then this would change totally to "Very likely". However, it is now 12 days since AUTO EUROPE were provided with the full details which I would have expected was sufficient time to sort out this scam and for my huge overcharge to be returned to me. As it is I await in anticipation of hearing something from them. "

" AUTO EUROPE,CUSTOMER CARE DEPARTMENT. RE:Auto Europe voucher number UK4565945-1AVIS Reservation number 29391641GB6 5 day D Basic car rental Belgrade 23-28 September 2018. You will see from the Auto Europe Invoice (attached below) that the basic rental was £86.71. Travel was permitted into Croatia (in reality 1 day) with a Cross Border Fee of EUR 73.50 PER RENTAL, Vat INCLUDED. When collecting the car we were told that we had a FREE UPGRADE to an automatic car. I asked if this altered the price and was assured that it did not.. The car was returned with absolutely no damage additional to previous small damage indicated by the Avis man on the rental agreement. The car was completely full of petrol. At the return desk it was somewhat chaotic and we were worried about missing our flight. The Avis gentleman was pleasant but totally uninformative as to what the actual charge was for the car hire other than in the hurry he handed me the document attached below. This was written in Serbian which I do not understand using local currency which I also do not comprehend but I was assured everything was correct and related perfectly to my original booking. I presumed that everything was correct and unfortunately took his word for that! You can imagine by shock when I later checked my credit card statement to realise that what should have cost much less than £200 had been charged at an astounding £328.68 A pasted copy of my credit card statement states: 28/09/2018SPECTATOR AVANT DOO BE BEOGRAD £328.68 On spending an enormous amount of time trying to decipher why this increase occurred I realised this could be found on the first line of the Avis document (shown below) and the lines that followed it. It states: 1) PREMIUM PAKET 5 days @ 4317.86, 21589.30 plus 4,317.86 = 25907.16This is a FLAGRANT OVERCHARGE as it comes to circa £219 instead of the figure quoted by Auto Europe and used on my booking form of £86.71. It is a scandalous overcharge that requires reimbursement to myself. It also states:2) Prekogranicno osiguranje (Croatia insurance cover) ( 5 days @ 1523.95=7619.75 + 1,523.95 = 9143.70 which is more than the EUR 73.50 quoted on the Auto Europe booking form. It also states: 3) Licno osigranje putnika (personal passenger insurance) we never requested this and refused this option at the time of the booking. It looks like another con job addition of 2666.123....approx £23 in additional charges that we HAD NOT REQUESTED. Finally:4) The credit deducted for the £86.71 already paid to Auto Europe appears to work out at £20 less than I had previously paid to them......another con?? These overcharges add up to a total of circa £180 which by any sense of decency is an utter disgrace. One overcharge might be considered a mistake but when 4 overcharges occur then this makes one think that a deliberate attempt to extract money has occurred and it reflects badly on Auto Europe and AVIS. Can you please look closely into these overcharges or pass this on to the department that investigates such overcharges. I look forward to receiving reimbursement of the money incorrectly taken from my credit card in order that this will be an end to this deplorable incident. "

" I found that amount of deposit needed, if no additional insurance is taken, is rather high - €1250 Due to an error with VISA card this amount could not be blocked and I therefore, unwillingly, had to pay additional amount of 117 when car rental was €66 I firmly believe that €1250 is too high as this could happen quite often towards the end of the month when funds are always the lowest and therefore this seems like an intentional trap for customers to fall into when they are left with little or no choice at all but to pay fully comprehensive insurance "

" Everything could have been perfect experience if only they didn't put the comment (not previously printed on form as a line) that car was in "unclean condition" so they cannot be sure there was no damage underneath the dirt. Even if the car was so dirty (and it wasn't) that leaves "Posrednik" in position to claim the damage after returning the car, in my absence (after washing it). I must say that no-one has asked me to clean (wash) the car before returning it back, and that is not the custom anywhere around the world anyway. Really not a good customer relation act. Will think twice before returning to them next time, unless they change that policy. "

I explained that I needed an SUV to get to our holiday home and the manager made a huge effort to arrange a deal with a local company who had an SUV available. Excellent service from SIXT! "
