" Maybe?! You literally facilitated me hiring a car via your website, it wasn't like I've had any interaction with your business face to face etc. "
" One of the tyres was in awful condition and I was told tyres are my responsibility. I understand the roads are very poor in Antigua and you need to be cautious because of holes etc. but 4 good tyres would have given me some confidence. I spent 2 weeks very concerned it might pop at any moment and I couldn't see any signs of a car jack if something went wrong. It wouldn't have been a legal trye in the UK. I only noticed this tyre after driving to our accomodation the other side of the island. Also radio didn't work. And told not to return with sand or wet seats... On a beach holiday! Lucky I was very respectful of this but it did seem a little odd. Overall the staff were absolutley amazing and onkly let down by the quality of vehicles the are hiring out "

" As described above. I would strongly recommend you speak to Budget at the airport as both their customer service and approach/response is pretty awful. Not to mention making me pay twice for something!! I realise these things are out of Autoeurope's control but I would appreciate some kind of feedback or response to this. Thank you "
" On arrival to pick up the car, I paid $20 as requested for my Antiguan driving licence. I paid this in cash as had plenty on arrival and as i'd paid for the car upfront, didn't see the point of putting on a card. I also tried to discuss the drop off as I was staying in a village down south and then in English harbour (without a car) for my second week and it had given this as an option for drop off. This was 20 mins drive south, whereas Airport was 40 mins north. Also, there were roadworks right by the airport, which caused huge traffic delays. They tried to say that I should bring back to the airport and then someone would bring me back to English Harbour. However, this felt like half a day wasted and although I collected my car around 5.30pm, I said that I could be flexible and drop off/meet at whatever time suited them. I tried to email the day before to check again whether I could do this and it bounced back as an invalid email address (this was the one on the budget receipt). So my kind host where I was staying, called the company on my behalf. Not only were they saying they wanted me to take the car back to the airport, they also said I still owed them $20 for the licence!!! Except they wanted to charge me $23 on the card that secured my deposit for the car. I explained very clearly that I had given the lady $20 cash on my arrival as why wouldn't I?? She continued to state on the phone that it was her that I saw and she remembers very clearly that I didn't! I was adamant and also my host (who has lived on the island for 25 years) took over to explain also. The lady on the phone then said that she didn't like being called a liar!! We were nothing but calm, professional and courteous. She then said that it would be an extra $30 to drop the car of in English harbour (even though they're there all the time) and so I now owed $53!! My host was so helpful and said that this was really unacceptable customer service and that she would in no way be recommending Budget if this is how they operated. In the end they agreed to come collect the car (which was always supposedly an option) at a time they specified - 1pm. I agreed to pay the $20 for an easier life (I had also gone through all my receipts from the first week and calculated my expenditure and sure enough $20 was missing from my funds so I know 100% I had paid this. I received the car with 3/8 of petrol, stating I had to return the same. They got it back with much more than this, so they certainly did ok out of me. They were 25 mins late collecting the car also, which was a little unpleasant in the heat. The car itself was pretty battered with dents and scrapes and basic in most ways. However, the Island's roads are not easy and full of potholes etc. Overall car hire is clearly expensive on Antigua but I noticed they did have better hire cars about. "

" Rental was well below the usual standard I expect from Budget "
" Very poor condition of vehicle, I had to have the first replaced. Although given the state of the roads in Antigua this is hardly surprising. "

" Just unhappy that we couldn't go out for a couple of days which spoilt some plans we had made "
" We had a bumper that was hanging off and we had to stop several times during the first few days - we contacted budget and was told it would be swapped the following day and no one turned up so we were without the use of a car for 2 days "
