    Campsites in and around Naples

Near Naples you can find multiple campsites around the city. This is ideal if you are planning to get a campervan hire in Naples. The campsites are all modern, have plenty of facilities and provide a safe and friendly environment to stay. Often cheaper rates can be found in comparison with a stay at an inner city hotel. Some campsites exist within the city itself, making them ideal for those wishing to stay more central. Following are four campsites we would recommend for the area.

Campeggio Vulcano Solfatara Open all year-round, this campsite is located in the natural park of Solfatara. It is located 6.2miles (10kms) north of Naples, which is easily reached by local public transport. The site covers 30,000 sq. miles, so finding the perfect pitch shouldn’t be too difficult. For entertainment you’ll have access to a swimming pool, playground, a steam bath (with natural volcanic water), a 5-a-side football pitch, restaurant, mini market, table tennis and bowling. Facilities also include a laundry room, toilets, shower, a full motorhome service and Wi-Fi for guests
Camping Sant’Antonio This family run campsite provides plenty of peace and tranquillity to its visitors. Covering 10,000 sq. miles, within its borders you will find plenty of orange, lemon, olive and walnut trees. At your disposal you will also have a mini market, bar, restaurant, kitchen, toilets and showers with hot water. Access to the beaches can be easily gained, with the closest beach being only 3miles (5kms) away. Excursions are also available to local points of interest and Naples city centre.
Camping Pompei Just south of Naples, only 35 minutes away, you will find Camping Pompei. This campsite has a restaurant, café, showers and Wi-Fi for guests. Amenities are only two blocks away and the campsites location is perfect if you are wishing to visit the historical ruins of Pompeii. The site provides hot water and plenty of friendly Italian hospitality, with amazing food to match. It is on a stretch of busy road, however, but its proximity to tourist attractions make it a great place for a short stay.
Villaggio Spatacus This campsite is a great escape if you are looking to be at one with nature. Plenty of ever green and citrus trees, flower beds and a great Mediterranean climate await you here. The campsite provides a family run restaurant and pizzeria, together with a laundry service, a playground and the full campervan service – waste disposal, gas refill, etc. Showers and toilets are also provided with hot water.
