    Find out more about Vancouver

With its picturesque views, its mild climate and friendly inhabitants, Vancouver is known as a touristy city throughout the world and one of the best locations to live in. Vancouver is one of the cities with the largest linguistic and ethnic diversity, with 52% of the population having English as their mother tongue. Vancouver has been throughout the years, the house of diverse events and international conferences, including the Olympic Winter Games and the Paralympic Games in 2010.

Archeological findings indicate that at least 3000 years prior, an aboriginal tribe called Xwméthkwyiem (Musqueam, a name derived from Masqui, an edible grass found in the sea) lived near to the Fraser River. During the first contact with Europeans in the late-18th Century, the Musqueam and Squamish tribes jointly lived in an area that corresponds to today's Burrard zone in Vancouver, including the villages that are dotted around Vancouver itself. These tribes were the first to be widely known as "Coast Salish", Indian tribes that lived along the coast and who shared linguistic and culture with the inhabitants of Vale Frasere and in the north of Washington.

"Your staff in Vancouver were very pleasant and knowledgeable. They provided a detailed briefing on the RV and the associated paperwork. They are a credit to your organisations. I did suggest that I would have benefited with a 5 minute briefing on the Garmin Sat Nav. I had problems keying in the Canadian Zip Codes."
