" As above disappointing first contact. Had to wait 2hrs to collect or pay an additional day.....strangely when I return it 2hrs early I don't get a days refund! "
" Disappointing first impression. Flight arrived early but despite car being available I was told I had to wait 1hr 50mins to collect it or pay for an additional day. The car provided was marked as no damage yet had numerous chips and was scratched on the rear wheel arch. Having had to return to the counter I was told "okay I'll just sign it as signed out as you indicate" and never even checked it. I assume it being a one way rental they weren't too concerned. Brakes were a little grubby but otherwise the car was very good. "

" The Christchurch pick up was fine however as we travelled on the Interislander ferry from south island to north island we needed to pick up a new car at Wellington. The Wellington pick up was very unsatisfactory. We were told initially that they had no available car for us and only a pick up truck / UTE was available. When I complained an alternative car that was being returned was made available. Overall we waited an hour. In addition the car we were given did not have a completely full tank of petrol. To improve the experience the same class of car should be ready and waiting at the ferry terminal if the hire cars are not allowed to travel over on the ferry. "

" We had a flat tyre after 3 days, at the beginning nobody helped us and every hotline wanted us to order you auto Europe to sign any policies to repair the car, we left it in the middle of nowhere and after 2 days of a mess we picked up an new one in Queenstown, now Sixt booked 4000 & 275 NZD ! after asking 10 times we found out that they have the wrong email, so the missed one letter! now is my question how i get back my money from auto Europe because we have full insurance??? please contact me as soon as possible! " The only issue was in relation to the tyres on the first of the two we had on a split rental NZ south and north islands. The front tyres were down to the min level at the time of rental on the first car which I rejected and only very marginally better on the car I took. At hand back both front tyres would have been illegal for some time in the U.K. The front desk man advised me that if if the car has a certificate on (which it did) it was legal in NZ. Who am I to argue? That said, it is illogical to me as tyre wear is dependent on mileage they have done rather than a date 3 months earlier when it was last tested. The second car was nearly new and overall a much better driving experience. "

" The cars paperwork was incomplete the condition paperwork did not indicate all the damage on the car there was a long line of customers returning to advise their paperwork and condition survey was incorrect The counter staff seemed to rely on customers completing condition survey which questions the motive of ezi they place great importance on ensuring damage is recorded or yr excess would be used to repair this places the responsibility on customers to protect the excess ezi should be more honest and diligent in checks "

" Only reason I will not use EZI again is the EZI sticker in the rear windscreen. Like most renters I leave a vehicle in some fairly remote car parks in and out of town. These stickers tell everyone that I am a vulnerable tourist and the vehicle could be full of my worldly travel kit. I fully understand EZI needs to commercially advertise but not with me as bait. I always remove these stickers and have done so for forty years of travelling. I have met many other renters who also do this. "
