She then accepted my paper license which has not been valid in the UK for years. Europe Car needs to update their procedures for this as I was very surprised and confused at the process. "

This could all have been clearer - 2 bookings would have made it clear, where to drop off and pick up in wellington/picton was up to us to find out. 2. The actual details that europcar had were WRONG - despite a number of emails between myself and Autoeurope "
" trip was one way from Auckland (north island) to Christchurch (south island) - we got 1 voucher for this, but actually you have to change cars in Wellington. This was completely badly informed and organised. The ferry we had booked and communicated was a different ferry to the one where europcar had offices and we had to sort this out ourselves. Customer service was TERRIBLE, when you called the local office it went to Manila where they had no idea about what to do about this. "

" The "full size" car we were initially given at Picton was not big enough for three adults plus luggage. Fortunately we were then offered a Holden Commodore, which was appropriate and suitable. "

Car was ready for collection, thank you but paperwork took an age as the computer system was 'down' Leaving the car at Christchurch airport was an inconvenience especially as we had to go into the air terminal to deposit the keys, no one was interested in checking the car. An office in central Christchurch would improve services enormously "
