" It took over 30 minutes to pick hire car up, there were 3 people on duty and so very very slow. No apologies for wait or eye contact, then said car had been cancelled because I had been delayed for 24 hours due to flight being cancelled. I had phoned them to tell them which they didn't believe until I proved it on my phone. The customers in front of me said they had waited 40 minutes!!! If it hadn't been that I had already paid through you I would have told them to stuff it and gone next door to Hertz. "

" All rushed drop off and collection then to be told I have to wait 21 days for my deposit bearing in mind the car has been dropped off in the same condition inside and out fuel the same etc. when collecting found the car dirty windscreen really dirty inside had to wipe it down before I could drive on main roads. Rubbish left in the back and side pockets etc "

" The manager turned down the car that I have booked and got the confirmation for, saying that I can't get a car with Kazakhstani driver's license. Even though in my booking I have provided my information and my residency. The company gave me the approval and later the counter told me that they cannot give!? It is like a week of emailing again and again, being promised that I will get back my refund and so far I have received nothing. And the payment has been paid fully around $80 for 2 days. "

" Extremely poor customer service, does not listen to customer at all. Takes no action to try to resolve any problem, but quite willing to try and sell you another vehicle, despite having a prepaid voucher! "
" We went to collect our car with our prepaid voucher. We were told by the representative that the voucher was not confirmed and the voucher was not valid. The guy had no customer service skills and just said we needed to contact our service provider Autocars. The service provider could not have been more helpful. She spoke to the EUROPCAR representative who did not want to know, he just kept refusing to acknowledge that we had a confirmed reservation that was prepaid. Eventually, he called someone in EUROPCAR Abu Dhabi who confirm that they actually did have a car for us. The problem was within EUROPCAR, not our supplier. Buy this time we had been waiting almost 2 hours and only changed the situation because we had instigated calls to our suppliers contact centre in the USA. We did not even receive the slightest indication of an apology from the EUROPCAR representative in the Rotana Beach Hotel. Extremely poor customer service. "

" Although the reps at counter were apologetic, it is not a good way to begin a holiday. It took more than half an hour to get a taxi. Also I had to continue chasing for status of my replacement car rather than you calling me. Again customer service was rather poor. I understand it was Christmas but you should have a contingency plan for situations like these. "

Then I get advised of the taxes in the UAE and and Tolls. This ended up being the most expensive car rental experience I have ever encountered. In addition, after talking to some of the staff, they said the CDW insurance is fairly useless and you must call the police if you notice even the slightest damage as the the insurance is not valid if not accompanied with a police report. The whole experience was utterly dreadful in fact. When you're left tired and vulnerable in a new country where the English is not the best - Transparency is key. This experience was far from transparent and I will not recommend. I have always used www.rentalcars.com and only used auto europe as the price was more competitive - I was very wrong. So in all I am very disappointed with all the extra costs and feel that some sort of compensation is in order for the lack of transparency and distress caused using the experience. "
