The man at the desk was aggressively trying to upsell extra insurance. I have never encountered anything like this in any other country. Moreover, my deposit was higher than expected because they added a fuel charge "just in case" I didn't return the car with a full tank. The car itself wasn't in great condition – it had visible wear, despite the desk agent assuring me that "no scratches exist." When I asked him to come with me to inspect the car and correct the check-out report, he refused, claiming he was alone and didn't have time. Extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. The car return process was more tolerable, but that was with different staff. In summary: I rent cars at least 4 times a year all across Europe, and I've never experienced such poor customer service. I know you also remind people of what they need to have when they pick a car up, but it is difficult to have a credit card in your full name, if you have never been issued with one.. Also initials have always been acceptable to every car hire we have ever done. Never been refused a swipe of a credit card before. Maybe you could put on the booking that a full name on the credit card is not initials, if people do not have this, then they may have to look at getting a new card with their full name on, as it appear on your passport and drivers licence. You could also consider not using this Company for car hire. I feel it operates rather sharp practice, especially as the comment made was; 'you have got the car hire very cheap'.. Yes it was a good price, but didn't end up being very good. It cost far more than we would have ever paid and we did not get the car we had booked. "

Prior to my booking I checked out the sizes of luggage space and knew this was the size car we required. We received a Qashqai Auto SUV which did not have room to take all the people and the cases. It was a good job my brother (who also had problems with the same Company, his booking was made via Ryanair) was there to help. On the return journey, my cousin had to make the 2 hour journey to drop part of our party off at the airport. We booked the bigger car, so no-one would have to do this. If we had wanted a smaller car, we would have booked one. When I asked where our estate car was, the young man who was showing us to our vehicle, said there wasn't one. They had our money since June, we booked the correct car and still the car was not available. Whilst the SUV was ok, it was not fit for purpose. They would not take a swipe of our Credit card because it was not exactly the same as on the passport. We do not have a credit card with full name on. All our cards are with initials and surname. They would not release the car, even though the passport, drivers licence, proof of who we were was indisputable. We had to pay an extra £220 to get out of the airport. Our card was then acceptable. This allegedly paid for all the things we had paid for. But fuel was now full to empty. We had already paid full to Full. Had insurances included anyway and a stand alone policy for CDW. We could not cancel the booking in order to re-book as we had already paid. Plus it was 7pm and we had a 2 hour journey in front of us and family waiting. We hire cars all over the world and have never had this problem before. I do read the small print, but when it is in a hidden paragraph in polish - not so easy. Stating full name. We just thought that was our full name on the credit card. They did the same thing to my brother, he had to pay £150 to get out of the airport with a car, exact same problem - only initials on his credit card. Our car hire was for 11 days, his was for 7 days. My brother had not been back to Poland for 31 years, it was not a very good experience for him. We have not been to Poland for 6 years - it was an upsetting start to what was a wonderful holiday/wedding. We received a visa credit card receipt, but no other paperwork, to say what car we were getting, terms or what we had paid. Same for my brother. "

" I rented a car through AUTO EUROPE, in a package with full damaged insurance and fully flexible cancellation. The day before departure or the same day, I was informed by AUTO EUROPE that the company from which I had to pick up the car was FLEX To Go. I wanted to check the location of the place from which I should pick up the car, and I saw the opinions of the company's customers which were very bad, one star only. One negative opinion after another. I realized there might be problems since so many people have problems with this company, but it was too late to change and cancel the order. If I had been informed earlier by AUTO EUROPE, from whom I was actually renting the car, I would have definitely cancelled the booking. When I arrived at the company's counter with a child, wife and luggage, the company's agent started persuading me to purchase additional options that, according to him, would protect me from problems, and from which, according to him, I was not protected even if I purchased full damaged insurance through AUTO EUROPE. I paid for the car at the beginning of £159. The agent did not speak favourably about the AUTOEUROPE company, and in his opinion, the company is misleading customers by charging them with insurance that is not honoured by FLEX TO GO and in case of problems, despite the insurance paid, I will be charged all the costs, and later I will be able to try to recover them from the AUTOEUROPE which might be not easy. He talked me into purchasing fuel, the option of not having to have a full tank when returning the car, and the option of washing the car. Without these additional options, if any problem occurs once returning the car – fuel level and cleanliness I would be charged a penalty fee. Of course, at the top, he added their insurance and a charge for a child chair. Altogether, all of these extras cost me an extra £193. The agent said that with this package, I wouldn't have to worry about anything, and the car would be covered fully. Quoting his words - I can come with half the car, and I still don't have to worry about anything. Of course, during this conversation, I tried to explain to him that I already have insurance and I am sure that I should not have to purchase any other insurance. However, I was tired of the conversation that was not going on, and I agreed to the proposal. As I wrote above his speech, plus reading company reviews, I was less and less sure what to do, and I was very worried that the company, if I did not agree to extras, would later on try to put any extra penalties on me and block my credit card deposit. After thinking for a while, I decided to change my mind, but the agent informed me that I had already paid and I could not change my decision. He told me and my wife that if I want to change it, he can only delete everything, which is equivalent to losing all the money previously paid. I was surprised at such practices, but I couldn't convince the agent, and further conversation made no sense. On the day I returned the car, I called the agent twice to make sure if the car needed to be washed inside because I found in the contract which was sent to me that after renting the car that the washing option I had purchased included outside washing only, which is different from what the agent promised me. The agent assured me twice that it was not necessary to clean the car inside and he told me that the option I purchased covers cleaning inside and outside. He told me that only description on theirs paperwork is imprecise and states outside but option for which I paid covers cleaning inside and outside. He told me that I do not need to worry, and I do not need clean inside anything, only collect rubbish. When I returned the car and keys, the same agent asked me how much fuel was in the car. I told him that I had half a tank and that the amount of fuel I paid for was too much since he knew where I was going with the car, and there was no way I could use all that fuel, asking me about it at the very beginning. The agent told me to contact their office and ask for a refund for the unused fuel. Upon arrival at the airport, I received an email stating that I would be charged an additional £31 for washing the car inside. I tried to contact the agent but he didn't answer my calls anymore and then I sent an email to customer service, who still insists that I should pay for the washing, even though their agent lied to me and the information he provided was not true and reliable, which is his responsibility. as an employee of the company and therefore additional costs are imposed on me. The company doesn't want to hear about the refund for fuel either. The entire car rental cost me at the end, instead of the £159 I paid to your company, £383. Instead of rest, my family and I experienced a lot of stress and were exposed to additional costs. The company's employees' information is false to impose additional costs on their customers, which must be the rule after reading numerous similar stories of other customers. "

" Ive literally been extorted of huge chunk of money for full protection that I didn't need in order to actually rent a vehicle due to lack of credit card been told I cannot use debit card even though it's usually what I use to pay deposit with rental provider never mentioned such conditions it was the first time I've been forced to pay extra £350 to a £75 rental I been there late evening with my one year old daughter in my hands had no time to rent else where as we were exhausted hence why I've decided just to pay and leave to get home asap "

" I've booked to collect the car from 2355hrs. I've arrived at the collection point at 2350 and waited 20 minutes to be seen as lady behind the counter was dealing with another client. When it was my turn I was told I'll have to pay 150PLN as I was late for collection! When I said I was in time and waiting in a queue, lady sarcastically said that that is applied automatically and she can't do nothing about it! The car i booked wasn't available, and paperwork i was given was showing little dots on a car printout with damages/dents to the car which I couldn't check as it was dark. When ive asked lady what if there is a dent which is not on paperwork and is there now and i cant see it but it can be visible in a broad daylight? She reply i would loose my deposit.....Absolute disgraceful and shocking! You worker had a bad attitude and was very sarcastic. Upon bringing car back there was no spaces to park under the your rental company name and when I went to ask to the rental office at Gdańsk airport it was closed. So needed to park the car in different company parking slot not knowing if that's OK and if I'm not going to be fined for parking in a wrong space or exceeding the time of rental! I've been renting cars all over the world and first time I've experienced such a poor service! Not recommend! "
