" Was all good apart from pick up at keflavik "
" Pick at keflavik a shambles. Instructions on vehicle location not clear, so lots of people wandering around the car park with luggage looking for cars. Then car wasn't clean (rubbish in back), but had taken so long to find it that we just collected the rubbish ourselves. "

" Hertz's website said drop off onsite and lift to terminal would be sorted. Dropped car off in dark area with loads of puddles. Told no lift and we had to walk to terminal. Not good if we had been elderly or disabled "
" Booked car specifically with sat nav. Offered upgrade and asked if it had navigation, told yes. Vehicle did not have sat nav! "

" Overall experience was good but lady who dealt with us when we arrived spoilt it. It was our first time in Iceland, first time we had hired a car abroad & it would have been much better if she had treated us kindly instead of us feeling we were not welcome "
" Our only negative part was the lady who signed the car over to us at the airport. She was unfriendly & abrupt. She was trying to sell us extra insurance but when we tried to ask if we needed it or what package was the best she was vague & unhelpful. We did but extra insurance from her but we had no idea if needed it or it was best deal for us. Totally different reception when we dropped the car back at Keflavik airport. The young man was friendly, helpful & efficient "

" As with many car rental companies I feel more explanation of controls and location of fuel cap etc needs to be given as car models vary in this respect. It's somewhat dangerous not to do so. "
