Main issue was with the vehicle provided - although in adequate condition and correct vehicle type (small van with windows, eg Renault Kango), our vehicle rear seats did not tumble completely forward as the rear base was fixed and the rear seat not split. This caused difficulty loading our bikes, the 4 previous vans of different types (including another Express) have allowed a split rear and completely flat floor. This was clearly a more basic spec and much less flexible for luggage and passengers. Hertz should review their fleet as if we'd had another passenger this vehicle would not have been accepted. "

" In general when I search in autoeurope the choice has reduced considerably compared to previous years, and it seems that the zero-excess option is no longer offered. The one-thing that distinguished autoeurope in the past compared to the competition was the zero-excess offer. This is what brings me to autoeurope, I pay one amount with one-place and I know I am fully-insured and I do not have to quibble at check-in desk any longer. Now that this offer no longer is there, autoeurope has become like any other website, and often times I find cheaper prices elsewhere (either with the airline I got the tickets with). Please review your Value Proposition as I feel you will only be losing your market share rapidly if this does not change. "
" I paid considerably more for a Citroen C4X car because the roads in Morocco require a high car. When I arrived, I was allocated a normal low sedan (Skoda octavia). I showed the type of car reserved, but they were unable to help me and the reason given was that the remaining car fleet was limited to reservations only. I was offered a lower type of car without any adjustment in reservation or cost, which I had to accept since I could only drive a high car. Also, to add to my disappointment, the cost of insurance to have zero excess was applied to the reservation with a higher type of car than the one I was going to have to insure. and when I ask the answer is not persuasive, it is just "this is what the system allows me to do, I am only an employee here and I cannot speak to anyone at this time". In terms of cost, I ended up paying double to rent a lower type of vehicle (Kia Stelios). The car given to me is no longer in rental condition, with almost 100,000 kms on the odometer, it must be removed from the fleet. The engine was worn, the interior dirty, lots of salt/beach stains all over the cushions, the smell of cigarettes. I was disappointed, while clearly I could see 2 KIA Sportage parked and newer, but they only gave me this KIA Stelios choice. Even if people are nice and pretend to try and help, the service in itself is mediocre. you can see that from the moment the customer is not satisfied, they don't really know how to deal with the problem and certainly no willingness to solve it. The service is mediocre, the car worn, dirty with cushions moved after such usage, and the price was very high. The return of the car, I would have liked to be present until the end of the procedure and the closing of the contract with a clear and explicit receipt. Instead, they received the key and asked me to leave and that the rest will follow by email, so I had no control over this procedure, which does not seem fair to the customer. Given this experience, I will not be looking to make a reservation in the Hertz franchise in Morocco, unless I am shown that the repair of this incident is important for Hertz Morocco and that I am shown the intention to repair it with a discount on the additional cost that I suffered in this rental to return to a state of balance with the customer. As it stands today, I feel wronged: I paid for a type of car that was not available, and I received a car of an inferior type, and I paid the zero excess insurance on the value of the car of the superior type that I did not have. "

" The car was very good but I was very angry about the addition charges that I had to pay at the airport. It cost me an additional £170 to cover insurance that the local desk said that the policies bought online through Auto Europe failed to cover. Basically any damage to the car not caused by a collision would not be covered and the deposit would be lost- this included things like car park damage etc. I am absolutely sick of on-line rental companies not telling the true price for full cover. "

Hertz explained they would not provide a receipt for any damage so I could not make a claim with you!!! We were told we had to valet the car before we dropped it off which was a complete pain trying to find somewhere and having to unload the whole car, quite ridiculous. "

The forecourt staff made up for that by being very helpful, friendly and professional. Car was to good standard even though it was not as advertised. I booked a small SUV and ended up with a saloon. " If you re travelling to Marrakech & want to hire a car, avoid Hertz!! on arrival, we had to search for the office!! Meet and greet? A jock! No one was waiting to greet or show us the car. As for the paperwork!!its laughable!! it took for ever then the shock of the extra insurance excess!! Might as well buy the car and sell it at the end of our holiday! By the time the paperwork was done and cleared my bank account (excess deposit), I was told to find the car in the car park (spot Hertz car game that was!!) tired from our flight, 40 minutes waiting to sort out extra insurance and paperwork, then we headed to find a bashed up old Renault parked somewhere in the middle of 900 or so other cars!! Hertz could of had a rep waiting for us?? NO! "

I find them competitive and efficient but best of all available and courteous as well as helpful. Their freefone number is always answered speedily and without the usual "press this, press that rigmarole, "
" The Hertz desk was not manned at the time of our arrival; we had to wait for the man. Once there the car collection went well and the car was as ordered. It had a number of dents and dings but the Hertz attendant was diligent in recording these. The bad news was upon return of the car. The car was handed back as delivered to us except for the dust and grit of 10 days driving in Morocco where the country roads are often only one car width tarmac. This necessitates driving with two wheels in the dust of the verge in order to pass oncoming vehicles. Imagine our surprise therefore when the Hertz attendant insisted we pay 100 Dirhams for valeting!!! If this is Hertz policy I'll not book a car with them again. Cleaning the car is their duty. "
