" The process of booking was fine. Maybe more warning of extra insurance charges "
" The initial price to book the car was very reasonable. But once in Reus we felt bullied into buy extra insurance which cost more than the car hire. There was a lot of scare tactics about possible liability up to £3000. There was also only one poor girl on the desk and a long queue of frustrated people behind us making us feel pressure to be quick. When we arrived at the car - no one was there with us to confirm some already existing damage on the car (we took photos to protect ourselves from being blamed). When we returned again no one checked the car to confirm we had returned it in the condition we took it. So whilst this made for a very quick drop, it is disconcerting that we could be blamed for this damage. We do not often hire cars - so maybe our naivety did not help. We knew we needed a credit card to secure a refundable deposit - but had not been expecting a hard sell for extra insurance too. So whilst the staff were polite and the car served the purpose we needed it for. Over all we felt a little ripped off by the process. "

" I recently hired a car with Alamo in Florida. All paperwork was completed before I left home so on arrival at Alamo desk I only had to use an ATM to collect my car. Took less than 3 minutes to get car at airport. Much better service than in Europe. "
