" Booked a FULL-SIZE vehicle to cater for 5 adult passengers and luggage. Expectation from all correspondence was FORD EXPEDITION or NISSAN ARMADA. I was travelling with a group of 21 people and we were hiring 4 vehicles in total all similar. My colleagues were given the keys for 3 FORD EXPEDITIONS, I expected the same. I was the last person to collect as I arrived early and was told to come back to the airport at the agreed time, 90 minutes later. I had to get a taxi to my hotel then hotel shuttle back to the airport. I was allocated a HYUNDAI PALISADE, which although had the correct configuration of seating was very much smaller than FULL SIZE. I was describe this vehicle as MID-SIZE. I opted to take the vehicle as was expected to attend a welcome event at our hotel as soon as arrival back at the hotel. I became aware the following day that the vehicle was going to prove to be less than ideal for 5 adults and suitcases, once we started to prepare to travel to Montana (500 miles). As we were on a strict schedule of visits and meetings, there was no time to re-visit the Dollar Counter at Salt Lake City Airport to ask for an exchange. The reason I have scored down value for money and Efficiency of counter staff is for these reasons. The vehicle was booked well in advance, there should have been no reason not to have a more suitable vehicle nor to be knocked back due to earlier arrival. "

" Auto Europe booking process was easy, but you are only as good as the rental companies you use. I chose Enterprise because I figured it would have greater choice and better cars. I will save myself a couple of hundred pounds next time and gamble on Thrifty or equivalent. "

" AutoEurope is excellent, my problem was with the Avis Agent at the airport at pickup. He didn't understand that we had paid for the gold package, he said he could not provide us with the paid for GPS as they were broken, he said he will put a note on the account for us to receive a refund and then charged us $17 a day for a tablet with GPS, he said we were to return the car full of petrol even though we had paid for it. We did take it back full at drop off, this Avis service Agent was brilliant and apologised for the service given to us, he wiped off the cost of the tablet and refunded us the full tank of gas. So eventually I was pleased. Why the airport agent would not honour our package paid for, I don't understand it, maybe he was just trying to make extra commission but he would not listen and I just had to sign for the extras, I did contact Avis customer service and they said to wait until I returned the car and they would support with sorting the problem out if it was still not resolved "

" Terrible, awful, horrible service. You need to share this feedback with Advantage Head Office. This is not acceptable that your paying customers should face such challenges and rude staff/service. Personally I am entitled of a refund for the first 3 days of rental given I was not able to drive the car normally due to not being able to see anything behind me and afraid to drive the car given the tires low pressure condition. " - Luis was the agent who facilitated the rental check-in on the 16th. I was given a KIA Optima car. - Dec 18 I had to use the back windshield defroster due to frost build up in Salt Lake City. I was not able to see anything through my rear view mirror as the defroster in the car was not working - Dec 20 the dashboard warning sign came on due to a drop in low tires pressure - I decided then to head back and see about getting the car exchanged as I did not feel safe driving the car with no rear view visibility or having a tire blow out when driving - Luis was there and attempted to assist me as much as possible and offered to swap the car with a Chevy Cruise in the same class group. I was told that I need to pay for a $32 gas top up when returning the car as this was part of the deal - I expressed my dissatisfaction to Luis that I prefer to top up the car myself when retuning rather than Advantage charging me $32 and how this is an inconvenience that I had to return a car badly maintained and unsafe to drive - A lady runs over to the desk while Luis and I were talking and beings to intimidating rudely by saying: ''You rented the car through EuropCar, you did not rent this through us that's one. Two, you rented it through a European website and you are using a US driver license.'' - I responded politely and said: ''I am a US citizen, I work/live and reside legally in the UK. I was not aware of this. EuropCar are aware that I hold a US license when I entered my information and completed the reservation. I do have a US license, US address and US credit card that you have authorized'' - Her response to me before walking away was: ''We should have not had you rent with us as this is illegal'' - I asked Luis who this lady was and he responded she's his supervisor/manager. What an embarrassment that you employee such leaders to talk to your clients in such demeanor. I felt I was lectured and talked down like a 6 years old child and I certainly did not appreciate her aggressive tone whatsoever. I demanded that she gets reprimanded and spoken too by your corporate office for such unacceptable behavior. You need to figure out who she is. She was of hispanic background, brown in complexion, light brown/orange straight hair just below the shoulders, heavy in weight. The incident took place Dec 20 around 5:50-6pm Utah Time. I am expecting back a confirmation from your regional or head office that someone has reached out to this incompetent supervisor/manager who clearly has anger issues. I will be calling the local news channel and make a big fuss about this. You are lucky I was not involved in a car accident/rear ended due to no visibility as the defroster was not functioning. Or having had a blow out tire for unmaintained tires. I would have sued you for negligence. "

" I wanted a car rental at the airport and there was nothing in the booking to indicate this was not the case. Nothing to say I had to get a bus. This was ok for me as I was being met but someone else may be very confused. Rental actually handled by Advantage Rental - again nothing to say this on booking. Better to communicate to customers that a bus ride was required to a car rental about a mile away and car was actually at an Advantage site not a EuropeCar site (only a tiny logo inside the office, not at gate or in parking lot). Arriving at Salt Lake City Airport late at night or just in the dark means that customers could be very upset by this mis-information. "

" Firstly, when booked it was not clear that the pick up was off the airport site and had to get a shuttle bus, then when we got to site they said that we could not fit our luggage in the car we booked and wanted to charge an extra $400 to upgrade, when I refused they said they would upgrade for free if I prepaid for fuel, by this time we had been up for 30 hours and were extremely tired so felt that we had no choice, we took the car they gave us which was so big that I did not feel comfortable driving it and we did not feel safe. The next day we went back and swapped the car for a more reasonable size car,we asked about the petrol and was told that we would get the deposit plus extra petrol money back. When we returned the car we were told that the difference was only $2 which was ridiculous and was then told that had we took the car back full we would have been refunded the whole amount, this was the first time we had been told this, we said $2 dollars was not acceptable so they refunded a little more but we have been completely ripped off when we know that it costs around $40 dollars to fill the tank. "
