After returning the car was informed a couple of days later that i would be charged for damage to the car. There was no additional damage as the car was securely parked and stored with driving only from and to secure locations. Also photos were taken - I refuted the claimed damage and had to contact t several times. They eventually agreed that damage was already there. No apology or anything. Stress and time spent sorting this out. Have since contacted them to provided details of extra charges and still waiting for response. Not professional and obviously trying to get charges from drivers and then not repairing the previous ones. This is the 2nd time this has happened with SixT - Terrible!! "

" We had ordered an automatic VW Polo or similar. When we arrived they put us into a Peugeot 508. That is a big car but they told me that it was the only automatic they had. We looked at the car and then told them it was too big. Another Sixt person told us that we could have a Corsa but not automatic. We had to settle for that. When we returned the keys, I asked about this and the person I spoke to said that they rarely have small automatics... So there's not much point in paying the extra and booking one... "

I have never rented a car during the winter where that has not been provided as a safety measure.. we experienced ice and snow over the rental period incl ice on the windows when I picked it up at midnight. Luckily it was thin enough for the heater to melt it but any thicker and I would have been stuck in the airport at midnight without being able to clear the windows properly. " I'm a business traveller, currently working in Copenhagen area since July 2019 on weekly basis. I have been renting every week from various rental companies. Most of them proved to be professionals, honest and their cars are in very good shape. My very first experience with Sixt has been stressful that left me with a very bitter taste. I picked up a car during the night and given a list of demages on the car, these demages were cosmetic hence car was in working condition. However, I drove off and returned the car on the expected returned date/time with 60km of mileage. The clerk who checked the car in found 2 very minor scratches that were not on his list neither were on my list BUT these were NOT fresh scratches. He would not accept and suggested that Sixt expert will examine the damage and I will be contacted. Its been a week now, I have not heard anything whether I will get my deposit back or what I would be charged for those scratches. "

" Cars do break down but I spent about two hours on the phone speaking to Sixt, then to their 24 hour recovery service and then again to Sixt. It was very frustrating. No Sixt closer to where I was staying had a car so they wanted me to drive two hours away to get a new car (the recovery services told me that they would not cover any additional recovery over 24 hours so Sixt was keen that I change it). I felt that I should not have been charged for the full six days.... "
