" you really do need to advise the fact that the need for international driving licences and also in sri=lanka the need for a local driving licence just another way of ripping of the tourist I suspect "

" car very good pick up so so car not ready had to go to there garage to pick up drop of very poor nobody at airport to pick up car needed a few frantic phone calls and had to leave keys with a security guard nearly missed flight not very good at all "

" My car service light on warning light on, when I ask how to drive with warning, they said it's ok no problem you can drive. Not recommended at all Very bad service. "

" Very bad service. I booked a nice car when I go there only one car they have. I paid more than month ago. On their website 24 hrs. We are waiting 3 hours outside the to gate. I'm late for flight as well. "

" Still awaiting a response to an e-mail sent to Auto- europe over fiasco of not sending my details to SR Rentals for the necessary licence to be provided for when we arrived. I wanted vehicle to drive to our hotel Kandy and to drive each day to Pallekelle for the test match. "

" problems with picking up car, auto europe did not send details of my driving licence to them so was unable to pick up car, excessive charge to take us to our hotel in Kandy, ( only half the price ) to get from Kandy to rental address to pick up car. Very disappointed. "

" Good booking info. Sri Lankan rules and regulations, required documentation etc. were all clearly explained. "

" On arrival no sign of them at the airport. After wandering about for 10 minutes and then phoning them (phone line really bad, but managed to make out they were on the way). So about a 30-40 minute delay there. Car had a LOT of bumps and scrapes on it but was in good working order. On return they found some cosmetic damage to the rear driver side light fitting (small scratch) that wasn't marked on the sheet. I said it must have been there before but not noted specifically in the MANY other bumps and scrapes all round the car (we had no incidents during the trip despite the unique style of Sri Lankan driving!) They asked if I had insurance, which I said yes to, but again said that the damage wasn't caused by us. I wasn't asked to sign anything other than giving comments on the car so assume that was the end of it. "

" This was a nicelt straightforward way to organise our vehicle rental, which was an integral part of our holiday. The price seemed reasonable, the overall experience was relatively hassle free and I'd certainly look into this way of doing things as and when sorting out another such rental. "

" Overall it worked out very well: although SR Rent were late dropping the car off, we ended up with an upgrade as they did not have the vehicle type/class we had ordered. This was great, but they needed to swap the car towards the end of the rental. The replacement was absolutely fine, but they were five hours later than they said they would be dropping it off, which essentially lost us half a day. Also, watch out for the clause in the agreement saying they need the car back clean: the man picking up the car mentioned this when actually the vehicle could hardly be said to be dirtier than any normal use would suggest. However, they do not appear to have deducted any additional money to pay for cleaning. I have to say I would dispute it anyway and certainly off-set against a total of six hours lateness in delivering vehicles. But the main thing was that it all worked out well enough, especially with that unexpected upgrade! All the people I dealt with on the phone or in person were very friendly and polite and indeed when dropping the car off at the end the driver who came to collect it very kindly gave me a ride back to the guesthouse where I was staying. "
