" Auto Europe are excellent. "

" Terrible collection experience. The staff had found someone else who shared my name on their systems and filled in their details instead of mine. They were most upset when I asked them to correct the details. The car was in appalling condition, 58,000km on the clock, engine management warning light, clonking noises from the transmission, 2/3s tank of fuel instead of full and dented and scratched on every panel. My complaints went unheeded, this was the only available car according to the lazy staff. "

" Pre-booked a fortuner (or equivalent) with AutoEurope but was provided with a 3008. Lady at desk showed me that the auto identifier code was for a 3008 or equivalent... not for a fortuner. So clearly AutoEurope is Misselling to customer. "

" Car was supposed to be provided full of fuel as per contract. It was not. We ended up over filling by 1/3 tank to ensure we were not charged. Felt ripped off. Drop of was a joke told to phone a number when we arrived and they would come to us. Called the number and just told to park the car where we picked it up. Not possible as the car park was totally full. Not given any kind receipt when we dropped the car off. "

" Aside from issues over the description of the car my experience was very positive, very easy and worked very well. "

" The only criticism was that the car I booked was listed as a double-cab pick up, which I believe means a second row of proper seats, like a normal car. The car provided was a cab plus which has a small bench being the front seats and not full seats. In the end my plans changed and this proved to be adequate however it could've been useless. I appreciate there's potential for confusion over the meaning of "double-cab" and I wasn't entirely surprised when the car was not as I expected but I think the listing needs to be clearer at the point of booking. "

" I made a mistake with my booking and booked the car for 2 days before I arrived at Phuket airport. I picked up a car from you and was told I had to return it at 9am on Boxing Day, 3 days earlier than I had booked it as apparently you didn't have any cars for the second half of my week. I returned the car as requested and then asked whether you had another car I could hire, and your colleague said yes, and gave me back the car I had just dropped off. How much nicer it would have been if she had called me and said that the car was now available and I could extend it for the remainder of my stay to save me driving all the way to the airport and back early in the morning. That would have been excellent customer service, and much appreciated. Yes, I know it was my fault for getting the date wrong in the first place but would have been easy thing for your colleague at Phuket airport to have done for me. "

" Instructions to find the counter on arrival could have been better but once found all was quick and we were in our car within five minutes. Car was a little scruffy but sometimes better not to have a perfect car in Thailand! All damage agreed. On return, we called ahead and guy was there to check the car. Slightly annoying that then had to go into the terminal to finalise the paperwork, as we were not using that terminal, but only added an extra five mins. "

" The car had 60,000+ plus mileage and plenty of chips in the bodywork. Every panel had some sort of damage. There was also the return full of petrol issue which was not full on collection, no effort was made to address this issue. Not the greatest car hire service or car I have ever rented. "

" Very good at organising hire car. However when I booked several weeks earlier, my credit cards were all declined! I checked with my bank and everything was fine. They said problem with Auto Europe! I eventually got auto Europe to understand my problem and it was eventually fixed. Problem is the agents are in Lisbon Portugal and don't always understand fluent English! "

However, on return to the airport, no staff meet the car - you have to go into the terminal and this takes time if on tight check in time. They then go to check the car. There should be a National agent outside where the car is dropped off so it's quick. Otherwise very good rental company. "

" Very happy with the car hire experience in Chiang Mai. Vehicle was high specification and condition of vehicle was excellent. Service was very good and pick up drop-off just outside the terminal building and National office was extremely quick and convenient. "

" While away on holiday someone tried to use my credit card so after phoning the credit card company they cancelled my card, so when we got to Sami to pick up our rental car I didn't have a credit card. Wouldn't take the 1000 baht cash and after some persuasion they took my debit card. Only to be told it takes 4 months for the deposit to be paid back to us. I paid the extra money for the rental of the car for the insurance so it would be covered whatever happens to the ar nd still get hit with this debit card payment. Definitely won't be renting a car from that company again "

" Good search engine but not conclusive enough - even the big players don't always appear on searches "

" Car was pretty average, not overly clean on the inside and lots of damages and scratches outside. Drop off was slow as the desk was abandoned when we arrived. Would use again but only when a deal is on as value for money was not really there. "

" Initial problem from the start when I was only sent a confirmation email in respect of my booking & had to send several email before I got confirmed document. "

" Windscreen washer did not work due to the water container leaking & run dry within minutes. Near side rear light bulb gone & had to take to garage to replace it. I made these problems known to Thai Car Rent, but person I spoke to was not interested & had to sort them myself. "

" I find they give good value for money and were the cheapest for the same hire compared with others for this trip. The also were good to contact. Great! "

" Loved the car and the location where you picked it up. Staff were good too. The only problems was, when I picked up the car, the had me down as collecting on the WRONG DATE. 7/5 instead of 7/3. I showed them my voucher, the apologized, and as it happened, had a car to spare. They need to be sharper about dates!! "

" Only criticism I had was where in Bangkok Airport the car had to be returned as when I went to departures expecting this to be the drop off I spent 15 minutes trying to find out the drop off was in fact at the arrivals hall. Once that was sort everything was perfect. Most likely used again though as the staff at the airport were very polite and helpful. "

" The car was exactly as described and was great. My problems started when given a sat nav (GPS) which was very old with out of date maps. The girl at Thai rent confimed this and tried to set our destination in Khon Kaen which it could not recognise. I asked that she set it for Khon Kean only. The GPS broke down twice and than stopped working. I took us over 2 hours to clear Bangkok. Two and a half hours later we were still stuck in Bangkok. A buss driver drew me a map to get to the main road north. We eventually got to Khon Kaen. After numeroud phone calls I took the GPS to Khonkaen airport the next day as instucted, They could not refund me and I was asked to email confirming all. Email blocked. A letter, contacts given no reply yet, "
