" Thrifty Ouarzazate is not at the airport as stated on the website. Person for meet & greet was late and kept 4 customers (cars) waiting. Tank full to 7/8. Nobody returns a car with 7/8 of a tank! I rent about 10 cars per year and see it ever more often. 1/8 of a tank syphoned times eight cars makes a full tank of fuel @ well over £50,-. That is easy money for these companies. Feel free as an intermediate to kill this practice. "

Interesting to see however that a friend had initially looked for quotes on the website and when they came back later in the week, the quotes had gone up (obviously using cookies to determine interest and thus raising the price). When I went to book the price was still the original price. Naughty! "
" Collection took a very long time. We waited at the collection desk for almost an hour in a queue of about 20 people that didn't move very fast at all. At the desk, upon providing the paperwork printed from the website with the reservation number etc they couldn't find us on their paper lists and struggled to find us on their computer database. After having to consult a manager and them trying to look, it seemed as though we were entered manually. I think this must have been done for everyone in the queue. That said, once we were in the car, we had a great time with no worries. Drop off was really easy and very quick. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, but collection just took a long time and felt really inefficient. Next time I go to Morocco, I would probably use Thrifty again and go for the same car (great value), but would plan in an hour for car collection. I used Thrifty every few weeks when I was working in the USA in 2016 and had no problems at Boston Logan International Airport collection point. Seemed to be a local issue. "

" I have used this company on my trips a few times; however, the car was very poor quality. The horn did not work, which is essential in Morocco and when we reported this in the Agadir centre office the best they could offer was a Berlingo which is a smaller car. Also the back passenger door seal was hanging off and would get caught with the seat belt. This is the worst condition car we have had. "

" Auto Europe had good reviews and I took out the additional excess insurance for my own piece of mind. I didn't need to use it which was great. I had been to Morocco before but had never hired a car I had experience with the way the Moroccans drive. Driving in Morocco is definitely different than the UK. On pick up there were no issues with any paperwork and the car I collected was similar to what I had ordered. Some other people we were with had hired cars from other companies and did have a few issues so I was happy with service auto Europe had provided. "
" There is a lot of negative reviews of hiring a car in Morocco. As long as you completely check the car and take your time you shouldn't have any issues. When collected the car my advice is to do the following. Check every panel for dints, scratches and scrapes including the alloy wheels, tyres, make sure all the lights and inductors work and there is water for the windscreen( you need it). Check the inside for any issues. Do a video with your smart phone of the cars condition before you leave. Whenever you are checking the car with the attendant make sure any damage is it put on the paperwork. At the end of checking the vehicle I did take the damage report from the attendant and went over it myself to make sure he had marked every bit each damage on the paperwork. There was a lot of it as with almost every other car in Morocco. You will realise why when you get on the road. Before I left the staff told me there was a 250 dihram charge for cleaning if the car was returned dirty. I don't speak French so I don't know if this was on the contract documents or not.the fine print you sign is in French. We got the car cleaned for 30 dihrams before drop off and all was good on drop off. When dropping off the person checked the car for damage and told me everything was ok, he didn't tick the "no damage"box on the paperwork. Make sure this is done before you leave. I had to do it for him. My deposit was then credited within 24 hours back to my credit card which I thought was very efficient. Sometimes it would take longer To get my deposit back when I have hired cars in the UK. My experience with thrifty was good and I definitely would hire a vehicle with them again if I am back in Morocco. "

" It took two hours wait at the counter to acquire the car. The car had multiple marks, scratches and dents, many of them not mentioned on the paperwork provided. The car was dirty and smelly. While travelling I discovered the AC wasn't working. I continue to contact Thrifty Office and only got through to them on Monday. They advised me to call another number to reach their regional manager but I didn't get through to them. I left messages but no one called me back. After wasting two days; ie Monday and Tuesday I was finally able to reach the Thrifty office and was advised to bring in the vehicle for inspection. On inspection, it was found to the faulty. As it was being replaced, the person checking the defective vehicle found some scratches on the vehicle, which had not been mentioned on the paperwork. I advised them I didn't cause any damage but it was blamed on me. An alternative vehicle was provided after wasting four hours and thus the whole day. So with issues with the vehicle three days of my holidays were lost. I then wrote to the customer services manager who acknowledged my email and promised to address the matters before my departure but I have not heard from them as yet. During this period I also called your customer services and after putting me on hold for many minutes, costing significant monies, they absolved themselves of the responsibility. "

It was not very clean on pick up and in Morocco you will get some dust from constant road improvements, so unless they are expecting someone to come to the airport ealry in order to wash the car on site it is a pointless comment really. " I arrive to agadir, was already late , I was ready to take my car (I booked it for 19.00) I arrived to the thrifty desk and was a massive queu !! I wait for 3h do be served !! Was only one guy looking for all the queue ! It's no point to ask what time we gonna arrive if we are not serve in time ! I don't complain against the guy who was serving us ! Because he was in the same situation! I just complain that thrifty know who gonna arrive and at what time so they can provide another guy or two to serve people ! I think there is rule that we should not wait that much for a car ! "

" This experience has left me with a bitter taste in the mouth, and unless I receive some satisfactory assistance from Auto Europe, whom I've always trusted and never needed them for any help in the past experiences, I would be reluctant to do business with them in the future. I've recommended them to many of my contacts so far. "
" It's gone very well from the start.. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very keen to help.. The car was decent and enjoyed driving it throughout.. unfortunately, I was hit by a car in the last few days of my holidays; it was through no fault of mine.. The third party admitted liability and we both filled up and signed the necessary paper, as instructed by agents from both parties. On my return, I was shocked to be told that I would be charged a fee of 50 Euros, even though I wasn't to blame for the accident .. I commented that the third party insurance should be expected to cover that cost, but the agent said there was nothing she could do to help.. Now, I have just discovered that the car company not only deducted just the 50 Euros, as was told, but they deducted the whole deposit (£1221.27), which would ultimately result to more expenses in regards to the interest that I would be charged, paying back!!! I am disappointed and saddened that I have to deal with such an issue at the end of what would have been a wonderful holiday and a great experience with Auto Europe! "

" Overall great experience. The car's key failed. They gave me n upgrade vehicle. They did take half a day to do this but all in all v good. Thy will advise you on return of your car is dirty or needs fuel. They will advise to get it cleaned and filled at Local garagerather than automatically charge you for doing it. The roads in Morocco are generally good. You need to be careful of the "pistes" - rough roads. "

Also tried to claim we had scratched the car luckily I had pictures. BEWARE this is a scam , take pictures and be really fussy on collection. Also the tank was only 7/8 Full when they claimed it was full. Another little scam they are running. "
