    5 summer driving tips

We all expect summer driving to be a breeze compared to the harsh winter conditions we are used to. However driving in hot temperatures encounters risks, so here are a few tips to help the journey run that little bit smoother:

    1. If you are perhaps taking a car hire in Spain then check that your vehicle has air conditioning. This may sound like a given but it’s best to check.
    2. Keep bottled water in the car with you. Keeping yourself hydrated will also keep you road worthy alert.
    3. Check the oil and water before you start your journey. Make sure your vehicle is on a flat surface when you do this as to get a true measurement.
    4. Not to state the obvious but check you have enough fuel to get you to where you are going.
    5. Check the condition of your tyres as long journeys on hot roads can take their toll and if the tyres are not properly maintained you could be heading for an accident.

With these points followed you’re pretty much prepared for a long hot summer’s journey!
