Apparently I have nothing better to do than escort my grandmothers across Europe. Not as far as they're concerned, anyway. Somehow I was persuaded (by which I mean bullied, guilt-tripped and bribed) to accompany my grandmothers to Spain as they try to regain some of their lost years of youth.
Or as they put it, it's sunny, there are hot men around, you're driving. And so I've been planning our journey while they sip margaritas and giggle like little girls over phrase books. It's a team effort.
I booked our plane tickets, took care of the hotel, and was in the process of booking a car hire at Malaga Airport when the discussion ensued as to what car we were hiring. Too red, too blue, too big, too small... And let me tell you, it's incredibly disturbing listening to an 80 year old woman making a That's What She Said joke... Just saying...
After that was settled, there was still the matter of our itinerary. With a car hire in Spain, we can pretty much go anywhere we want and the whole Costa del Sol is ours for the taking! We'll also be taking a trip to Seville and Córdoba to add a touch of dignity and cultural pursuit to our otherwise extremely decadent adventure.
And I'm still looking for advice on things to see and places to go! What are your favourite destinations in Spain? Tell me all about them!
