F1 - Race 14 - Italy

With 6 races left this season it was all to drive for at Monza. For the first time this year there was not a Red Bull on the front row of the grid. Mark Webber manged to get 4th but was up against it! Jenson Button got off to a great start taking the lead off Fernando Alonso very early on. Tragically Lewis Hamilton collided with Filpe Massa and lost his front right wheel. Alonso wasn't letting Button get too far in front of him. Lap 21 saw Sebastian Vettel shouting about engine trouble and Webber overtook him to take seventh place. With all the attention given to Ferrari and their 'team orders' allegations, speculation was rife that he was just letting Webber past to give him a better chance of the title. There was quite a bit of corner cutting in this race and Jamie Rosso got a drive through penalty for doing so.

More corner cutting in lap 39 when Nico Hulkenberg did everything he could to stay ahead of Webber. No penalties though and Hulkenberg kept his place. He managed to get past him though on lap 50. Not a great race for the Red Bull's or the McLarens with Hamilton failing to finish. It makes the drivers title a bit closer though. A nice home win for Ferrari, but personally, I still think it is long shot for Alonso to be in with a shout at the title and would quite like to see Mark Webber take that honour this year!
