    Father's day break ideas

If it isn't already noted in your diary, don't forget that Sunday 21st June is Father's Day. Instead of the usual box of liquorice allsorts and novelty tie, I'm thinking it might be nice to treat my dad to a weekend away this year. With so many bargains around, I'm sure plenty of sons and daughters are thinking the same. But if you're the parent of a twenty-something you might not be so lucky - in fact, it might be down to you to foot the bill for their break.According to reports in the Telegraph and Mail Online, more than half of Britons in their twenties are thinking of holidaying with their parents this year in a bid to save money. A survey carried out by Holiday-Rentals.co.uk revealed that, out of the 52 % of twenty-somethings considering a trip with the folks, 14% had already made a booking. This new generation, dubbed 'HOMADS' (because they holiday with mum and dad) are so desperate to get away despite the recession, that 64% of the respondents said they'd agree to go on holiday with a family that offered to pay, even if they couldn't stand their company. If you'd like to treat your dad to a break (or your hoping he'll contribute for the chance to spend some quality time with you), here are some ideas:• Parkdean Holidays is offering three-night Father's Day breaks from £134.00• Holidayextras.com has a range of deals from Thomson and First Choice for perfect Father's Day holidays abroad.• For some peace and relaxation, Coast & Country hotels is offering a wide selection of two or three-night stay Father's Day packages.• To escape the kids for a day or two, try a Warner Leisure Hotel - exclusively for adults.
