Friday Drivetime - Your Ultimate Driving Songs: Back to the Decades 00's
Over the next few weeks on Friday Drivetime we thought we would go back to the decades. There is no doubt there are millions of artists that grew fame in all the decades, but you will find there will always be a few that stand out for you. This week we are going to look at the decade we are currently in, the Naughties. Running from 2000 - 2009 there have been some great artists that rose to fame in this decade. This decade saw the decline in CD sales and the popularity of MP3's grow and also saw more small time bands/artists becoming huge with programs such as X Factor and Pop Idol. This is my personal list of music I love from this decade.Back to the Decades: 00's
Britney Spears - Overprotected (Darkchild Remix)
MGMT - Electric Feel
Kings of Leon - Molly Chambers
Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out
White Lies - Death
The Editors - Munich
Kylie Minogue - Spinning Around
Ida Maria - I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked
The Killers - Somebody Told Me
Kate Nash - Foundations
There are so many that I love but it is so difficult to choose a top ten, other artists I love include HelloGoodbye, Pussycat Dolls, Ciara, Madonna (Confessions on a dancefloor is great album!) and Kasabian as well as Fall Out Boy and The Strokes. It was a tough competition. What music would you choose from this decade on your drive? What are your favourite artists from the naughties? There are thousands to choose from! Have a lovely weekend!
