Friday Drivetime - Your Ultimate Driving Songs: Back to the Decades 70's
This week on Friday Drivetime we are going back to the 70's. The Seventies were a time where a new generation of youthful people were exposed to new media. The rise of many different types of music came from this era. The 70's also saw the break up of the Beatles, and also, sadly, marked the deaths of Jim Morisson and Jimi Hendrix. The rise of punk music saw bands like Blondie rise and Pop took a turn for Disco. There were some great artists in the 70's that I never realised that I liked so many! Back to the Decades: 70's
Blondie - Call Me
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
The Eagles - Hotel California
Van McCoy - The Hustle
Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song
Earth, Wind and Fire - September
Kool and the Gang - Ladies Night
Sugarhill Gang - Rappers Delight
Bob Marley - No Woman, No Cry
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
There were many other great artists such as The Bee Gees, Cameo, Slave, The Eagles and The Ramones. What were your favourite bands from the 70's that you still drive along to today? Have a lovely weekend!
