From Costa del Sol to Costa Blanca: A sun-soaked holiday

As opposed to Agnes's troubled relationship with Spain, I myself wouldn't mind holidaying there: settle in a picturesque villa by the seaside, munching on all kinds of seafood and taking long swims in the Mediterranean. I'm sure both this mind and body would appreciate to get away from the typical British weather for a little while.

So, how would it be if, perchance, I were to enjoy a holiday in Costa del Sol, you ask? Very well, let me tell you: First things first, I'd get on a plane. Ha, that's easy. Then, upon landing, the best option would probably be collecting a car hire at Malaga airport.

Beautiful place for a serenade... Don't you think so?It is no coincidence the region is named Costa del Sol, literally translated as the Sun Coast. The town of Malaga is well-located to reach pristine beaches or explore nearby villages. One interesting itinerary would be to visit the Alhambra palace, a medieval landmark overlooking the city of Granada.

Cultural tours aside, Malaga seems the ideal place to be if you want to relax, soak up some sun and get that beautiful tan that would make all your girl friends jealous!Driving a Spain car hire along the coast would make it quite easy to travel through Costa Blanca, maybe grab a bargain cabriolet and pull that top down, sun-kissed hair blowing in the wind.

Panoramic view of AlicanteAlicante has become more of a tourist destination over the years, which means overcrowded beaches on certain months, especially in the Summer, but you are still able to find a few good secluded spots.

Wait, what is that sound I hear? Could it be a plane's engine, destined to this muy caliente part of Spain? Hold on, don't even think about taking off without me!

While I'm here daydreaming, drop a line or two in our comment box about your holiday adventures under the Hispanic sun!
