Luxurious Driving Routes for a First-Class Drive

Get behind the wheel of a prestige vehicle and explore the World in style. Here at Auto Europe, we believe that every hire is special and offer an exceptional range of luxury vehicles, sports cars and SUVs for your next self-drive holiday. We've put together a list of some of our favourite driving routes which are best accented by a high-performance vehicle!

    Furka Pass, Switzerland

Zigzag your way down the stunning Furka Pass in Switzerland. Located in one of the snowiest and highest regions in the country, here you will find beautiful panoramic views, hairpin bends and exhilarating slopes. This pass famously made its way into film history in 1964 when it was featured in the James Bond film 'Goldfinger'. While it may seem fitting to channel your inner secret agent and tour in a classic Aston Martin, you may feel more secure in an equipped SUV like the Mercedes Benz GLK when guiding your way through the sharp turns and hard slopes of this exciting road.

    Col de Turini, France

Discover the breathtaking scenery of Southern France and drive through the mountainous Col de Turini. Teeming with helter skelter corners, this route is famous for being a stage of the Monte Carlo Rally due to its tight turns and more than 30 sharp bends. Rent a BMW 650 Convertible and feel the wind in your hair as you zip through the Alps. Although this drive is serenely beautiful in the summer, in the winter, it is at its most spectacular as trees loom over the road under the weight of fresh snow. If embarking on your journey during the off-season, opting to rent an SUV like the Range Rover Evoque is always a favourable choice in tougher weather conditions.

    Northumberland Hertitage Coast, England

Take a drive along the simply spectacular Northumberland Coast. As this route is home to more than 30 miles of gorgeous beaches, a Bentley Continental GTC or convertible is the best way to feel the refreshing sea breeze on your skin. Revel in the natural beauty and history along the rugged coastline. The region is home to more castles than any other in the country, including Warkworth, Dunstanburgh, Lindisfarne and Bamburgh, and ancient walls and battlegrounds will accompany you on your drive.

    Stelvio Pass, Italy

Located in the province of Sondrio, and just a mere two hundred metres from the Swiss border, the Passo dello Stelvio is the second highest mountain pass in the Alps. This never ending route consists of nearly fifty sharp turns and is most suited to sport utility vehicles, such as the Audi Q7. These vehicles will allow you to wind through the most difficult terrain with ease. Take on a challenge and discover why this route appeals to the most adventurous!

The A81 Gottmadingen to Weinsberg, Germany

Get your blood pumping on the world's fastest highway system. Although known more for its speed than scenery, the best place to test your skills is on the German Autobahn. The 121 miles of pavement between Gottmadingen and Weinsbergis is commonly used by testers at the nearby Porsche factory in Stuttgart to try-out the handling capabilities of their newest vehicles. Want to try it in a Porsche 911? Auto Europe can help accommodate your needs!
