    Spain's best theme parks

Any family this year looking for a great summer holiday will surely be looking towards the sunny coastlines of Spain! The short flight time from the UK and the family driven resorts are all in Spain's favour; plus the recent rise in the Pound's value against the Euro means that families are getting more for their money.

Theme parks are a favourite amongst families as they provide a safe environment for the kids to play, which allows the parents to relax a little and enjoy the sunshine. When you travel with your own car hire you can drive to the parks in your own time; spending as much, or as little time there as your itinerary allows.

Let's take a look at what theme parks Spain has to offer.

Terra Mitica: Located in Costa Blanca the theme of this park is the ancient world and is based on five different civilizations; Rome, Iberia, Ancient Greece, Egypt and The Islands. The rides cater for young children as well as the older teenagers and the park is open from April to December.

Portaventura: The resort of Salou in Costa Dorada is the closet main holiday resort to the theme park. The rides on the park will cater all ages and there is also a water park that you can enjoy. Throughout the holiday season there are fantastic live shows to enjoy and there are also plenty of restaurants to choose from.

The Warner Bros Park: South of Madrid is where you can enjoy the glitz and glamour of Hollywood at this fun themed park! There is a Hollywood Boulevard, the Movie World Studios, the Cartoon Village and lots of great rides. They have even included an Old West Territory area which takes you back to the Wild West.

Isla Magica: The Park was first opened in 1197 in Seville and has been a great tourist attraction since day one. There are rollercoaster rides, a 4D cinema, water rides and a large lake. The park is open for the main summer tourist months plus it also opens over Christmas when it transforms into a winter wonderland
