You of course need to be able to find your way around when you reach your destination and if you don't rent a GPS with your car rental, then Google Maps can be a big help. Unfortunately, it can also be a very expensive app to use abroad. The solution? Download the map from home, so it is already stored on your phone. That way you can look up addresses on the map and easily find you way around.
