Some people live in their cars. I know this for a fact as my partner is one of them. He keeps all sorts of things in there, from Golf Clubs and shoes, to a change of clothes, to food and drinks. His car can become a right old mess and it drives me around the bend! I don't keep anything in my car, especially in the boot as I want to keep my car nice and clean and not weigh it down (which can use more fuel). It made me think, what do people actually keep in the boots of their cars?According to The Herald people keep many things in their boots, including a 13ft trampoline! (how on earth would you fit that in your car!) One woman from North-West England had built up clutter over 2 years which included a kettle, sandwich maker and 2 vacuum cleaners! (she must be a great organiser to fit all that in).The Transport for London did a survey last year and found all sorts such as a sack full of used postcards, 30 different kinds of animals and even gold bars! Some other items TfL found were:
Life-sized cardboard cut out of Princess Diana
Stuffed Otter
A hive full of bees (I'd be far too scared to get into my car if bees were in it!)
A fruit machine (how would that even fit?)
Hundreds of unmatched socks
6ft Pink Panther
A poll in the Auto Europe Office had some interesting finds too, including:
Picnic Blanket
Reusable Shopping Bags
Wellies
Child Booster Seat
Tennis Racket and Balls
Pushchair
Random Magazines/Books
Spare running jacket
Bungee cord
Clothes
Its seems like I am the only one who doesn't keep anything in the boot. I feel like I am the only one! Do you keep anything in the boot of your car? I'm interested to see if I am the only odd one out!
