" Auto Europe arranged the car hire with a company that has proved to be dishonest. Auto Europe should investigate the operations of Alamo at Belfast Airport. I doubt I am alone in this poor service provision. "

" The one thing missing from our options was the cost of adding a second driver. In the event, for Alamo, it would have cost £18 per calendar day, so £144. That is so ridiculous, we didn't bother. You need to twist their arm to make that available at a reasonable rate. "

" My flight had been delayed, so I contacted Auto Europe & informed you of this & was told that someone would be on hand at the check in desk to meet myself & make sure that I could pick up the hire car! Only upon my arrival at the desk there was nobody in attendance & I was informed by another person that they had left & gone home & because of this I lost 1days rental on the vehicle I had hired, not only that but I had to make some further arrangements with the accommodation which I had booked & I also had to contact a relative of my own to pick me up from the airport at great inconvenience & distress to this person as it was so very late at night! I then had to make further arrangements with this same relative to then come & pick me up & take me to the airport in order for myself to then get the hire car from Auto Europe & again this was at very great inconvenience & distress for my relative! I had, upon returning the vehicle to the car hire office, discussed the matter with the manager, I can not recall his name, who was in attendance at the time & who was very helpful & attentive to my plight! I was told that by way of recompense that I would receive a discount of up to 20% off my next car hire & also a free upgrade! I was also told that I would receive an email with regards to this, I have received an email but it is not what I expected & was told that I would receive as it only requested that I fill in this survey! I am very disappointed & very angry about this whole situation at the moment! "

" Excess insurance is not with car hire company but with Autoeurope, therefore still need large excess block on credit card. This is not highlighted in the hire agreement and causes issues at the point of hiring the vehicles. "

" I paid about £60 for the car hire initially! I got an offer to up-grade (I think it was about £50 again) and to get (what presented as) full comprehensive insurance. This was not the case! Ended up paying another £40 per day fully com as I had to add another driver at a cost also if £10 per day (this was previously stated). And also got charged another £20 for some premium of where the car was hired (in Belfast). Absolutely disgusted with the whole carry on! "

Milan Airport car collection and return signage very poor as no where on any paperwork did the car hire companies name appear Locauto , but this is the name on signage etc. "

The only thing I disliked was the fact you took the money for the rental at the time of booking (even though it was done months in advance) and you took the excess charge at the time of collecting the car. Very quick to take but not very quick to refund the excess, I also put additional petrol in the car which I am sure they will not off set against my costs - disappointing but better than running out of fuel in the middle of no where.
