" Would look elsewhere to hire from and not go to Europcar but would recommend Auto Europe. "
" Keddy or Europcar ok. Would not recommend as they don't cover you if the card breaks down which if they are hiring you a car it shouldn't break down but they should provide a rescue or towing service if it does as you are hiring a vehicle from them. But would recommend taking out extra cover which we did as this covered towing, excess etc. "

" Staff at pickup location were quite unhelpful & did not seem to know what they were doing. Additional costs were not made clear when hiring vehicle. for example I had to purchase emergency breakdown cover at time of hire which I believed was already included but they insisted was not. Car warning light (possibly related to low oil level) came on whilst driving and car had to be changed mid way through hire period. This was managed very efficiently and new car was fine. I am still awaiting the refund for toll road registration which I did not use as was informed would be automatically refunded to me. "

" I booked a Toyota Auris Hybrid but got a Toyota Yaris Hybrid. I queried this but was told that it was an equivalent car. It is not. It is substantially smaller and fits into the Small Car Category. The queues and pick up and drop off waiting times were excessive. I am back in Portugal in February and have already booked my hire car but not with you. "

" Was One hour and ten minutes waiting in a que in the office before i got a car, one young man on the desk booking out the vehicles and showing customers around the car, yes it was Ten am in the morning yet when i came to return the car there was Four people on the desk. All in all the young gentleman on the counter at check in kept his cool and professionally got on with it. "

" The office was closed when we arrived to drop off the vehicle at 9:10, when it should be open from 8:30. We had to wait outside the office until someone finally arrived to open the office at around 9:30. Pick up was also slow as we were offered every possible upgrade. "

" I was running late due to a car accident (not involving me) that blocked the only road out of our hotel. I tried calling but despite being on hold for over 30 minutes, there was no response. This was on a premium number and cost me around €30. The response to me email was also not appropriate. Very disappointing as answering a phone is not hard. Everything else was fine. "

" I specifically chose your product and added the excess cover, it was not made clear that this does not cover the excess in all occasions. Upon going to collect the car we were told we needed to pay an additional £75 per day for insurance or have an excess of £1700. We declined taking the car as we had already paid the insurance with you and I would like to make a formal complaint and wish to be refunded as the car was not hired due to this. I feel that you website purposely misleads customers to get more money out of them and fully intend on taking this further if I am not refunded. "
