Location: Atlanta Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, is situated only seven miles south of Atlanta's business centre.
Airlines operating at Atlanta Airport: Atlanta Airport is the main hub for Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection. The airport services numerous flight companies such as Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, United Airlines, United Express, US Airways, Frontier Airlines, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, American Eagle. European airlines include: Air France, KLM, and Lufthansa. Flights to the UK are serviced by British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
Atlanta Airport is home to 207 domestic and international gates. The airport has two terminals, the domestic one on the west side of the airport and the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal on the east side. Both terminals are divided into concourses that serve individual airlines. When at the airport, follow the signs to your airline gate.
Car rental desks are located in the Rental Car Center (RCC), where all pick-ups and returns are handled. Passengers can get to the RCC from the international terminal with the international shuttle connector in about 15 minutes. At the domestic terminal, use the ATL Sky Train that operates every three minutes in peak times to get to the RCC.

As one of the busiest airports in the world, Atlanta Airport has all you may wish for at the airport. Shopping and dining facilities are at your disposal throughout the concourses of the domestic terminal and in the international terminal. An ATM is available in a bank located in the Atrium part of the airport. Currency exchange services are found in the Atrium, and concourse E and T. Free Wi-Fi, available at the airport, allows you to surf the Internet with no limits. If you are travelling with a pet, you will find a dog park outside the Ground Transportation area in the domestic south and north terminal as well as in the international one very useful.
By car
The International terminal has a separate entrance to the domestic one. If you are coming from Atlanta centre, take the Interstate 75 and then Exit 239. By train
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) runs a local connection from the city centre to the domestic terminal. The South Line terminates at MARTA's Airport Station. The international shuttle connector takes passengers from the domestic to the international terminal. The Automated People Mover (ATM) provides a connection from the domestic terminal to its concourses: T, A, B, C, D, E, and F.
By Bus
Local bus company Greyhound Flightlink provides services to Atlanta centre as well as other cities in the area. The buses terminate at the Lower Lever of the Domestic Terminal North.
Each terminal, the domestic and international one, provides its own parking facilities for longer and shorter stays. When arriving at your terminal, follow the car park signs.
There are over 2,500 on-street parking bays in Atlanta. To pay for these, use space meters or parking pay stations that accept coins, bills, and credit cards. Always be careful to check parking and time restrictions. Additionally, there are numerous paid parking lots scattered throughout the city.
