" Was told no damage to vehicle at pick up. On checking there was wome large scrapes on the driver's side. I then has to go back to xesk to report it. Car was not clean. Foot prints inside on the back of seats. On checking car further when we got to our destination one wing mirrow was scraped. Half way through the holiday a warning light came indicating tyre pressure. This was on a sunday had to drive round looking for a garage open to check. Pressure ok. Again on checking all 4 wheels were scuffed. "

" Use autoeurope regularly and always feel dissapointed that your email offers are not much of a loyalty discount. Headline advert shows low rates eg. 30% off but actual booking is only small reduction of £5 or not much different than previous auto quote. Sometimes I go elsewhere as a result. Never given promotional codes to key unlike other company websites. I got better quote elsewhere and rang auto but she pointed out milage terms different. No offer to give a better price. Could have said I can add a discount. "

" Where is the follow-up if the order is "on request"? With a voucher number, I thought the reservation was complete. Staff at the Thrifty/Hertz agency also needs to be trained on your booking process, so they can correctly inform and advise your clients on the status of their requests when something goes wrong. We'd never have agreed to proceed at the Hertz rate if we'd known i) that the original reservation was incomplete and ii) the original rate would not be honored. "
" We made a reservation with Thrifty through Auto Europe Car Rentals. When we showed up, the staff at the Hertz/Thrifty booth told us the booking had been "Cancelled". He couldn't explain why but offered us another car from Hertz, which he said would cost less since it was a smaller size. As it turns out, the rate was more than twice the rate we'd found online (523.55 euros vs. 272.13 pounds). I pointed out the difference right away, but he told me he'd reach out to his manager, show him our initial reservation and they'd get back to us with an adjusted rate. We heard nothing for a week and when I called, I was told by his manager that the original reservation was "on request" for reasons he couldn't explain, but therefore not complete. They would not agree to honor the original rate, as it was an "online offer". If the agency banner says Hertz/Thrifty, the least you'd expect is for the staff to be i) knowledgeable about both services and ii) aware of what commercial gestures they are able to extend to their clients. Don't make any false promises and follow up on your commitments. "
