" The car was dirty upon pick up on the outside (water marks all over) There was bird faeces on the passenger inside door frame. As the driver, I hit my head several times getting into the car (the car itself was too low, small door entry). "

" Should have been met by a member of staff when I took receipt of the vehicle and we should have identified the damage already on vehicle together. Did not expect to have to take pictures and upload them myself which took a lot of time and effort as had to be done one at a time and there was a lot of damage on vehicle. The vehicle should have been repaired before it was rented out again as no doubt the previous customers were charged a premium for the damage to cover the cost "

" Expecting a hire car of up to a year old, not one nearly three years old with 444000 miles. "

" The car was not washed. Green algae inside boot and along window lines on doors. This was a two and half old car with 44000 miles showing on dash. Had some body damage. Also gearbox was difficult to get into gear, felt as it had been abused. "

" Easyjet changed my departing flight to the International airport so I needed to change my booking the guy I spoke to did not have a clue and said it would be 132.00 for a 1 way hire then he said I would have to pay 25.00 at the drop off airport. As it was a 03.00 drop-off time it was impossible ,so all he offered was cancellation and as it was 44 hours before pickup I would loose my money paid including insurance. So if went to a better car hire company "

" Ordered VW Polo or similar. Received Toyota Aygo X. Tiny compared to VW Polo. Queried and told it was group B and already an upgrade from the Group A ordered and they had no other options. Paperwork said Group A ordered, Group B supplied and only Toyota Aygos left in pick up area. "

" Not happy at all with the experience when we got the car they were bumps and scratches all over the car, we took it because we had a lot of luggage's, the other car they offered was smaller "

" We got to the desk to pick up the vehicle, we showed her the paperwork, she asked us a few questions, and informed us we need super cover as we were going across the border we was not covered we took at insurance to drive in Republic of Ireland, and added another driver and that's it, we saw the receipt they put £517.00 on hold. We thought that's not right. So when we got back the lad at hertz gave us the final bill, of £427.00, we was not happy, so they told us to go to the desk in the airport, and he told us we need to take it up with the Customer Services, not happy with the service. "

They offered me a down graded vehicle but point blank refused to upgrade me. very poor customer service. very poor vehicle. They also asked me to drive a 140 mile round trip when I called them mid rental to say I needed to use the car in the republic of Ireland... when I refused they eventually accepted an email. "

" The car that was given to us was not roadworthy as it had a large 'egg' bulging out of the tyre wall. This made use extremely concerned about the road worthiness of Dollar vehicles given this was not picked up by Dollar staff during what should have been the preparation stage. This resulted in a significant amount of wasted time having to walk back to the terminal building as the staff at the pick up point was unable to resolve the issue ......very very frustrating and concerning "

" I asked for a car with Satnav as I was travelling alone. They had not bothered to load the map onto the inbuilt satnav, so gave me a portable one. There was nowhere to plug it in. Also I couldn't get my iphone to connect with Bluetooth, despite doing this many times in a variety of cars. The office is in the airport and car was 1/4 mile away When I complained on return, I was told it was all my fault. Staff at the airport which were in fact Herz staff. "

" Really disappointed. We booked the extras to make sure this didn't happen and were shocked when we asked Hertz where the Auto Europe desk was & they said "here". Even more shocked to have to pay a huge amount more for insurance but we were over a barrel at that point. A distressing experience. "

" Great service during pickup and dropoff. Had a problem with the hire car, it kept giving a oil warning light, it said the engine oil was overfilled and it should be lowered. I reported this to Hertz at Belfast airport who said they knew about this and to carry on driving.4 "

" I really didn't have a great experience at all. 1 was in terminal for over an hour as assistant was having trouble with a customer payment,I walked to office then. He seemed under pressure said he couldn't assist me and I explained the situation in terminal. He started the process and then said I don't have a car that he had a breakdown somewhere.he flicked through a iPad showing pictures of the car and the marks ,I asked him to take me to the car and we would look together and he said you bring car to me but go to terminal for key. I was then approached by the guy in terminal and asked him if he had key to golf. He handed me a key and I said were is car and he replied in there somewhere. "

" The car was supplied by Hertz - there was no clear signage to let me know which counter to pick the car up. I dropped the keys off in the drop box as instructed by the counter staff as my flight was an early flight however i haven't received anything to say that they had got those safely or that my deposit would be refunded. " I got scammed into renting an over priced car because I made my booking using https://www.autoeurope.co.uk/free-additional-driver/ thinking this meant our additional driver was free (the clue is in the website name) When I got to the Dollar desk and they charged us over £40 for an additional driver I showed them how we booked and they said it was all autoeurope's fault. "
