" On arrival to pick up the car we waited over 1 hrs 30 mins before leaving with the vehicle. This is no fault of the staff other than there was not enough to handle the customers. Drivalia only had one lady at the desk and then she was eventually replaced by one gentleman. Each check in took a minimum of 20-25 minutes and there were 5 in front of us. The staff themselves were friendly and helpful just understaffed. Vehicle drop off was better but again just one lady dealing with everyone but it was fairly quick and no issues so happy with the drop off. "

" From catching the transfer bus the short distance to the car hire office it w2as nearly TWO HOURS before I was given the keys and could drive away. There was absolutely no sense of urgency. The staff blamed it on the computer system. There were only 3 clients ahead of me and two people at the desk - though one kept popping out through that time. There was another guy employed by Drivalia but he would not deal with incoming clients and would only deal with returned vehicles - even though, at the time, there were no returns to deal with. The price for a week plus full insurance was great value - however because our flight was at 9.45am and the office does not open until 8am they told me that the timing was too tight (because they take SO long to deal with anything) and therefore I had to pay a further EUR 35 to drop the car off before 8am. They tried to palm me off with a car which was empty of fule and I told them that I had specifically booked a car Full to Full. They argued that it was the same - which it is not. In the end he found a car with a full tank. They then tried to extract more money for using the toll roads. I had no intention of using them but they were persistent. In the end they conceded that if I typed in Avoid Tolls to the Sat Nav I would avoid them....but the car he had found had no SatNav. Eventually he did find one with a SatNav - but in fact it didn't work properly and I ended up using Google maps on my phone. Furthermore after removing the ignition key one would normally swivel the key down into the body and click the button to release it. The button did not releas it so i had to go into a cafe to ask for a sharp knife to extract it - and ended up stuffing the void with loo paper to stop the key clicking back in. "

" We waited for nearly 45 minutes for a shuttle from the airport to depot. On our arrival at the depot, the young man at the desk was very helpful and very well mannered/ kind. The checking of the car was overly fastidious and responsibility placed very much on us to document all marks and scratches, On our return to the depot, the car was barely checked, raising questions about why we spent additional money on insurance. The female driver who took us back to the airport drove dangerously fast, to the point that we all felt uncomfortable/ concerned, including accelerating towards and shooting through a red light. When stopped at traffic lights later, she immediately got her phone out and was looking at social media, and missed the light turning green. It was a relief to get out at the airport. "

" Disappointed about the above, as I brought everything that Auto Europe advised I would need, but in that email, Auto Europe did not mention bringing my passport as well! I lost a day's rental and spent extra 50 euros on Uber fares as a result of this lack of communication! "

" We arrived at the drop off with plenty of time to get our flight but due to the wait of just 2 customers in front and the need to chase for the shuttle bus we missed our flight. The closing of the contract took just 5 mins but we had to wait over half an hour and then chase and chase for the shuttle. I had to pay 460 euros to fly home to another airport and then get transport back a further £200 so not happy at all "

Luckily we managed to flag down the shuttle bus but only after asking other car rental companies. When we eventually arrived at Drivalia, we were told that we should have called them to request a pick-up from the terminal. AutoEurope should have provided these details during the booking confirmation. "

" We had to pay for a device to pay the tolls. When I asked if I could pay them any other way I was told no. If I didn't pay for the device and went through any electronic tolls I would be ticked. If it's a mandatory thing why am I being extra charged for it? Also the rental of the device to the provider costs an average of £3 a month. I was charged £15 for one week!!! On arrival they tried to give me a car lower them the car I rented. When I said no, at first they tried to convince me it was a superior car, then told me they had no other cars , then finally found a car within the same range that I had rented. Just felt like I was taken for a fool from the start and had to pay extras that were never mentioned in the rental agreement. Also made to feel uncomfortable as I did not take their insurance. "

" I was really disappointed that even though I specified I wanted to pick up and drop off at the airport (and this is what it said on my booking voucher) it turned out that Drivalia is off site and we had to wait to be collected by a shuttle which took about 20 minutes from the time I called them (and which was itself about 20 minutes after I exited the terminal as I was looking for their airport desk!) Autoeurope needs to be 100% clear at booking if the operator is at the airport or not. "

" I rented a mini and i was given a nissan micra... Not even sinikar on the size... When a person rents a mini it wants power. I assked the gentleman at the counter if that was the only option and he said ylthat I could always refuse the car and walk away with nothing... That's not the way to treat a client. I usually use autoeurope 3 to 5 times a year... I usually recommend you guys because the price relation with quality is high, but this time it was terrible. I had to take that car, couldn't be without a vehicle. I think I'm due a refund or a credit for next time... "
