" It's been a very upsetting experience. Drive is the worst company we came across in 20 years of renting cars in Europe. We arrived at night and they asked us to take a photo of any scratches using the phone tourch! There were 4 scrarches but the 5 th one we didn't notice and they didn't mark it. The scrarch was small and on the black front bumper on a plastic. Obviously we couldn't have seen it in the dark! Fansy enough when we returned the car, they told us that WE DAMAGED the car and made us pay €312 euro+€62 admin fee - that's actually a cost of change of the whole bumper( "

" When we picked up the car, the form filling was slow and we weren't made clear about taking on the extra 15Euro/day full insurance cover, and had to make a credit card payment of 950 Euro which wasn't blocked by actually charged to the card. When we returned the car, we felt that they looked over the car for every detail to try to charge us for damage. They identified some grass cuttings that were embedded into the lower bumper spoiler and blame us for going off-road rough, which we didn't. The roadside verges are indeed rough in Crete and must have caught some mounds of grass when we parked. There was no damage to the spoiler at all. Then they indicated that one side of the rear bumper was bugling and said we must have hit something, although there were no marks, and we did not hit anything, It's just the bumper on the Aygo is very flexible. Lastly they managed to find two light scratches along the passenger side doors, covering both doors. We are not sure how they were made, and they were so light that a little wax polish would have cleared it up, but they insisted to charge us 185Euro per panel which came to over 360 Euro for this very light scratch. Unbelievable. We could not recommend Drive. "

The box to annotate marks on the car was tiny and not large enough to capture everything. " Would recommend not hiring their most basic car. But have only compliments for staff, transfers and ease of booking. Despite being told was fully insured when booking, was told I should take out further insurance for the week, costing another €50! "
" The pick up and transfer to the hire centre was quick and efficient. Staff were very good. Car was a basic model but was in pretty poor condition with the front bumper skirt loose. Had obviously had a front impact at some point. Very underpowered, had to turn off A/C to get up a hill. Drop off was very good, quick and without delay. "

" Everything was excellent apart from one thing. The itinerary stated a meet and greet at the arrivals area. What that actually meant was meeting outside of departures in the main car park. We had a 45 minute wait before the UK office told us where to go. I suggest that the hire company makes the instructions clearer. "

For a similar cost, in Portugal for example, we were provided with a brand new car on one occasion and an almost new car on another occasion, the car we had in Greece was a few years old with quite a few kilometres. The staff were pleasant and I have no issues with this company, I would use them again. "

" the car that i have it wasn't meeting the description. the staff initially was helpful,however the drop off was a disaster,i met them in the airport,i had to pay 20 euros,that i was aware.Their driver was late for the collection,not even an apology. Nearly a month later,in my credit card is still blocked the amount of the insurance,they don't seem to care to sort the problem,they are asking me to contact the banks "

" Poor experience not helped by not very helpful call centre staff (first staff member). The second member of your team was very good but I shouldn't of had to call a second time to get the issue resolved. "
" We arrived at the airport and there was no one there to greet us. I called Auto Europe to see what was going on and the call centre person had no clue and was very unhelpful. I hung up and called again and the chap I spoke to contacted Drive. Their driver had gone to the wrong area of the airport. Eventually after a very stressful period of time we (my wife, my two children and I)finally went to Drive. The car was a micra not the Peugeot 306 or similar as expected. The car was scratched and not a good representation of a good business or the money I'd paid. I questioned this and was told that's all they had. I decided not to argue as it had been a long enough day as it was. On arriving at our destination the car wouldn't lock via the fob so we had to manually lock each door individually as the key wouldn't lock all the doors either. The boot was unlocked for the two week period. I called Drive (day 2) and they were not interested, stating they had no alternative cars. They did say I could take the car to the nearest garage to be sorted out but I didn't feel that this was my responsibility. "

" On return, staff pointed out a slight scuff to a wheel trim which they had not marked before we took the vehicle away. Fortunately we had photographed all marks before we left so could prove it was there before. We had just travelled from the UK, starting at 2 am and so we were not at our most alert when picking the car up otherwise would have noticed the omission on the form. Other car hire firms have ignored slight damage to wheel trims so we only photographed them as extra security. I'm glad we did. I felt as though it was an attempt to rip us off and it spoilt what was otherwise a good experience. "

" Not very impressed with the €20 charge to go on a ferry. Totally held to ransome, if we didn't pay it, we couldn't go on holiday! Not all rental companies charge for it, but europcar do, and this rental ended up being through europcar. So comparing the prices online, and coming up with the "cheapest" isn't necessarily correct, with a hidden charge! "

" I booked the car with a pick up time of 10pm, our flight was not delayed or early and the drive team were late to pick us up from the airport then when hiring the car we were required to pay an additional charge of 24 euros due to late pick up. We were very disappointed with the condition of the car. It was scratched and had lots of cosmetic damage. It wasn't very clean and nothing like the picture shown on the website. "
