Driving Licence Requirements

The driving licence requirements in Peru state that you must have a full driving licence that is valid in your country of residence. You will also require an international driver's license.

Age Restrictions

To collect a car hire in Peru you must be at least 21 years old and have held your license for one year (this may vary bewtween suppliers and car groups).

• Chincha Alta to Ica - 107kms (1hour/30mins)

Road Rules and Petrol Stations

• You will not have trouble finding a petrol station in Lima, however finding one in more remote areas can be difficult, so we advise that you always make sure you fill up your tank before leaving Lima or any other city you are visiting.

Tolls

You will come across Peru tolls along the major highways, so be sure to have some small change with you when travelling with a car hire in Lima.

Parking Information

Be extra careful when parking your vehicle and so not leave any valuables in the car. It is best to park in a secure car park area which can be found in the city centres. Check with your hotel for Peru parking information before you arrive.

It's possible with most of the suppliers to book a one-way car hire. It usually involves an additional fee, however, these are explained during the booking process.
