So had to book a new car just in case. No contact afterwards from Autoeurope and told to get a refund from Enterprise. When I reached my destination the next day, Enterprise said I had to get a refund from AutoEurope. Very poor communication and blaming each other. "

" I explicitly asked to not take the insurance but instead put the excess on my credit card. It appears that the agent charged me insurance anyway. Plus some other charges which were not itemised nor requested. No idea what my charges were for. No response on email, chat or call centre. I was given a hybrid model with no details from the company on how to refuel and being a 2024 model no information online either. Had to return without a full fuel tank which (I can only guess as no details sent) incurred further charges. Again, no correspondence or breakdown of charges. Have somehow paid over 300 euros for 3 days of a compact. Awful experience won't use you again. "

" Auto Europe provided an excellent, friendly and efficient service. However the same CANNOT be said for Enterprise at Frankfurt Airport. "
" I have rented from Enterprise in the UK and abroad for many years and I have always been very happy until this rental. The car itself was excellent, but that was all. I made my booking using Auto Europe as it was cheaper, gave better choice of cars (?!) and a low-cost upgrade. I have my own excess cover, but it does not cover breakdown, so I checked and Auto Europe confirmed that breakdown assistance and recovery was included. I also gave our flight details for arrival at Frankfurt Airport, Terminal 2. I was travelling with my 92-year-old father who has limited mobility. On arrival, the special assistance team provided a wheelchair and took us to the Enterprise Office at Terminal 2, only to find it was closed. Instead we had to take a difficult bus journey to Terminal 1. Thankfully special assistance was able to stay with us, so we made it. At the Enterprise desk, I was told breakdown cover was chargeable. I have never had this before with Enterprise and I had selected them over two cheaper options because of this. When I pointed this out, I was not charged for breakdown cover, but I have no idea if we were covered. In addition, I was not informed about the condition of the vehicle and it was NOT personally handed over to us. Later I realised we had not been given any return information and I couldn't find it in the documentation. I made several attempts to contact Enterprise at Frankfurt Airport and despite being told by call centre they would call me back, they never did. Eventually I emailed Auto Europe and they quickly called me back. They put me through to the Enterprise office in Frankfurt city who told me where and how to drop off the car on return to terminal 2. Overall this was a very frustrating and incomplete car hire service from Enterprise at Frankfurt Airport, only offset by the high quality and good condition of the vehicle provided, and the excellent service from Auto Europe. Extremely disappointing. "

" For the second time (out of 2) this year, Enterprise at Leipzig didn't have the car type I'd booked. The only vehicle they has was an electric, rather than petrol/diesel car which (although an upgrade on what I'd ordered) didn't have sufficient range for the journeys I had planned. Fortunately, I was able to charge it sufficiently on site during my meeting so didn't need to find a public charge point, but the guy at Enterprise (who spoke only basic English) provided no information about how to use public chargers, what apps are required etc. "

As a result, I was unable to communicate that I would not be able to pick up the car by 10.00pm, and the desk was closed when I did arrive at 10.15pm. " HIre car was a hybird - never driven a hybrid before so was unsure in the beginning, i.e. does not make a noise when switching engine on etc... Counter staff failed to mention this when collecting the car. Had to go all the way back with heavy suitcase but then had very helpful staff to show me... If you have staff at drop off, I think a staff member should be around in the parking area when people first go to the car. Makes also easier to discuss scratches etc "

" The details of local extra's such as "out of country" even though within the EU charges apply, and extra driver should be spelled out more clearly. These are often covered when booking direct and selecting all inclusive option. "
" Probably the busiest time of the year, so we had to wait over 3 hours for a car. It however was an upgrade i.e. auto, with extra driver and free tank of fuel. However the Adblue, oil and windscreen water should have been checked all were warning lights during the rental. The Enterprise people did what that could but it did take the shine off the start of the holiday. "
