" Auto Europe provided an efficient and easy booking process "

" The Enterprise / Alamo staff at Kalamata airport are great and the whole process is slick and efficient. The car we got had done a lot of miles and was well worn / worn out. The front suspension was very noisy, steering was vague. The engine warning light came on four times in the fortnight. It was adequate for what we needed - local running around but I wouldn't want to have done long journeys in it. To their credit though the tyre pressures were correct, this is not always the case! "

" Auto Europe great, Enterprise ok but car quality was poor "

" Car was poor condition, over 4 years old , air con wasnt working and trim falling off and very scratched all round. Wasn't the cheapest hire so expected better. After emailing eventually had a reply saying they would change the car but I had to return to the airport to do this which took time out of my holiday. "

" Wide range of vehicles at competitive prices and a seamless experience between AutoEurope and the car hire company. Care needed in selecting the car hire company as some hire companies charge excessive rates for excess insurance. "

" Pick up and drop off was very smooth - online filling of our details prior to arrival allowed the pickup to be very quick. We were informed that we had received an upgrade on our choice of vehicle at no additional cost - the car provided was slightly larger than we expected. Whilst the car was very comfortable, we found that it would occasionally stick in gear at very low speeds - the only way to release the gear was for the car to be declutched and the ignition switched off. "

" Flight delayed by 3 hours so we were worried office may have been closed on arrival. However member of staff was in due to having to respond to accident. We were charged an additional fee for out of hours pick up but if not for the accident there would have been no one there and we would not have been able to pick up car. I can understand a fee if someone needed to come in just for us, but that was not the case, there was another car being picked up as we arrived. Also received a email invoice in Greek after drop off requesting same amount we had already paid on pickup(additional fee), confusing and already past security so unable to query. "

Have used Enterprise on other occasions as we are regular visitors to Kefalonia and usually hie a vehicle. They offer very competitive prices and are based at the airport which is important for us. " When they saw we had paid only £100 for 10 days hire the couple at the desk talked to themselves in Greek and the lady took her car key off her key ring and said you have my car which was old and not prepared. I suspect they kept the car allocated as they did not want to release a much more expensive car that should have been prepared for us. We were in holiday mood in Corfu town and it was raining so I did not think at the time to query this! "

" It would have been 10s across the board but I was really disappointed at the quality of vehicle provided - prices were such that we could only afford an economy class car which in this case was a low power Suzuki but with other local companies that level included decent Peugeot 205s or good Ford vehicles "

When we returned there were no representatives in the parking area so we took the keys inside to the office, only to be told we must drop them with outside representatives. We told them there were no outside representatives and reluctantly they went outside and upon returned told us they had both gone to the car wash. Not over impressed. "

" Not pleasant for the three (3) reasons explained above "

" 1. The car was dirty (dust) inside and outside - obviously not cleaned before handed over which is not acceptable. 2. I forgot my own windscreen mobile-phone base and reported it to lost&found within 30 mins (post security control at the airport); I was promised to be contacted within 1hrs without any response despite my 3hrs wait. I contacted again Enterprise 2 days later but cannot get through the line to the Airport depot despite several attempts (more than 15 phone-calls). HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED !! 3. One of the doors could not open from the outside - HIGHLY inconvenient - someone would expect that such things would be standard checked ! "

" I need to see how Auto Europe will respond to my comments and what actions will be taken by Auto Trader for such an uncomfortable and dangerous drive. "

" The car was far from being up to standard. 1) There were damages all around. Very unprofessional look for a businessman (video at the pick up is available on request. ) 2) Wipers were teared and the windscreen was not cleaning properly! This introduced significant risk for accident due to low visibility when driving under rain! (snapshot during rain available on request). 3) Carpets were teared and folding during driving. This was very annoying as well as dangerous (photo available on request). The drop off process was also annoying: I was about to deliver the car at 09:00 am. However another car had blocked me at the parking and I had to wait for assistance. During waiting, I had called and notifying the drop off counter staff on this. I explained the Force Majeure. They told me there is no problem off course. I arrived 10:10 am. The counter staff attempted and persisted to obtain extra payment for this delay - which was not my fault. I had to refuse to pay extra and asked them to notify the company. By the way, I received the car with 4/8 fuel and I returned it with 5.5/8 fuel. I did not ask anything for it off coucse - but the counter staff could have appreciated this. "

" We requested a well-maintained car upon arrival since we had to cover around 800km. The counter staff assured us that the car would be perfect. Unfortunately, the car was not. " Our car broke down at the top of Kefalonia, we travelled back to Agostoli in the brake down lorry then a taxi home costing 20 euros. The next morning I phoned Enterprise who said they couldn't get to me with another car until 4.30pm nearly a full 24 hours after the brake down happened. On my return to the airport for my flight home I asked if I would be compensated for my taxi fare and loss of my car for a day and was told no because I booked the car through Auto Europe. I sent an email to Enterprise on my return home and so far after two days have not had a reply "

" Arrived early evening, staff at terminal office were not very friendly but efficient, Collected car in the dark, there was a question of three other people picking up cars and the one Enterprise operative was in a flap. Had to wait 20 minutes (having a 200km drive to our resort ahead of us) and he decided that we did not need to inspect the car under torchlight saying he would email the damage sheet to me the next day requesting that I take video of the car in daylight. There was damage to the passenger side doors and rear wheel arch not marked on the form. There was also only approximately a 1/4 tank of fuel - I will never use Enterprise again. "

" Our flight to Corfu was a hour delayed landing at 21.50 instead of 20.50. We got to the Enterprise desk at 22.15 to find that it had closed at 22.00 despite them having our flight number and therefore being able to see that we had landed at the airport. We were left with no option but to pay €60 to get a taxi to our accommodation. We then had to spend the first day of our holiday traveling back to the airport to collect our hire car. This cost us another €60 leaving us €120 out of pocket. Furthermore, when we returned the car there was only one person working trying to deal with all the returns and collections. It took approximately 40 minutes to return our hire car and caused us to nearly miss our flight. We hire cars fairly regularly and this was the worst experience I have had. "

PLEASE HONOUR WHAT YOU OFFER. "

" This is the first time we have hired a car indirectly via another company but it was great. First the cost you had good prices for the car hire also the available insurance backup on offer for the car hire. Easy straitforward booking process and almost immediate confirmation was great. We would consider booking through your company again as we felt safe that if there were any problems with the car hire that you would have helped resolve them. The only minor issue we had was when we contacted the help desk out of hours, although we spoke to someone they could not help us change the pickup time of the car. It was within the 48 hours of pickup and as we were not flying in to Athens we could not give alternative flight details to enable the assistant to pass to the Enterprise team to inform them of the request for a later time to pick up the car ( we were already in Athens and had booked the car hire for the later part of our trip and so had arranged for an airport pickup to make it easier to drop of for our departure from Greece- we wanted to pick the car up later in the day but in the end we picked up the car as originaly booked by us.) "

" We selected Enterprise as they are well known and have had good reviews in the past. We were not disappointed. The staff at the airport desk were friendly and professional. The chap at the car rental parking, Demetris Sotos was super. Very professional and friendly we checked the car together he noted any pre existing damage on his report, explained to us how they judge the damage on the body of the car and allowed us to keep the car in the car park until my mother and son were able to join us from Athens about 30 minutes later. He was also the same on our return, gave a professional and friendly servive and we examined the car together again. A full report was sent to me via email both for the initial check and the final check after they occured. The car was excellent, clean inside, spacious, what we had paid for and with only very minor damage to body work. We had a very comfortable ride in it for the rest of our holiday. We are very happy with the car we received and the service from the Enterprise Staff. "

" It could have been clearer the communication especially at the beginning when it has been quite confusing the procedure to collect the car; it wasn't highlighted in the email that Enterprise does not have a counter at Chania's airport and it was not clear at all that we had to contact the company by phone or wait to be collected by a member of the staff. However, I have to say that, a part from that, all the staff has been very nice and helpful. The car was in good condition but quite old stereo with no even bluetooth connection which for a holiday car would have been nice to use the phone to listening music. " They're just a booking service and do what's said on the tin. In the past I have complained to AE about previous bad experiences/ problematic rentals but had no reply from them on the subjects. "

The car was a bit older than expected. I thought paying extra to use Enterprise we would have got a slightly newer car. " The companies deal with pre-booked orders , they know the workload , there should be appropriate staff planning to accommodate . The system is hugely inefficient. Having cars not fully fuelled is hugely irritating, as it is almost impossible to get the correct amount in on return . Hence , the company wins either way - charging extortionate rates for fuel top up or receiving "free fuel". Failing to provide a car with a functional spare tyre is unacceptable as is supplying a vehicle with an engine fault. Again the individuals whom I met and spoke to were friendly , professional and as helpful as they could have been. I would like to take my complaint further "

" On arrival to Heraklion, I queued for over an hour . There was one person on the desk only. There was another wait when I arrived at the car depot . The car appeared in relatively good condition , but the interior showed signs of wear ( loss of the covering near the hand brake ). The car was 3/4 full of fuel . The car had little power on the first journey and the diesel management warning light appeared prompting prolonged telephone dialogue with the company. When I refuelled the car the first time . The warning light went out and the car drove much better ( making me wonder whether a previous user had used the incorrect fuel ). On return to the airport , there was a puncture , the spare tyre was flat and we were stranded at the roadside . Had we not forced the issue and flagged down a taxi , we would have missed our flight . We were reimbursed for the taxi but only 30 of the 35 euros. The people I dealt with were all very pleasant and actually sympathetic and as helpful as they could be . I think they were let down by their infrastructure "

" The fuels policy needs the special mention on the rental agreement summary page. "

" Everything was great except the scammy fuel policy. They give you the car half empty. If you return it with more fuel - that's it, the huge multinational company gets to keep the difference. I do not care if all companies in Greece do this. This policy is unfair to the customer and must be stopped. Less critical - the car's suspension was squeaky, and the tyres seemed to have too little grip. "

" After landing we went to collect the car keys and had to queue for 30 to 40 minutes. It was around 7pm and we just wanted to get on the road. Clearly a wait is expected, but there were a lot of customers waiting and only one person working. However, the vehicle was great and the drop off experience was easier. "

" Car and service was excellent. The only negative is there was only one assistant to do paperwork so quite a long wait to get served which isn't what you want when you've just got off a flight and are hot and tired! Not her fault but annoying. Didn't help that she had to email a copy of my paper driving license to manager to confirm it was ok. Never had that problem before. This all aside it was very good. Wish that petrol was full to full as website said. Very tricky to return 3/4 full!! "
