" The car had a half tank of fuel on pick-up, not the full to full we had booked, and there was no other option available so we had to accept it. I contacted Auto-Europe to let them know our booking was not as intended, and it was recommended that we get in touch with Enterprise to ask them how much fuel was needed for a half tank of petrol. I asked the AutoEurope agent if he could do this on our behalf, which he did, but it didn't really solve the problem of how much fuel to put in to reach half a tank, as there is no way of knowing how much fuel was already in there. Although the AutoEurope contact was prompt to reply, there was no acknowledgement of the fact that this important element of the booking had been changed, and no reassurance to our request that we would not be penalised for having to deal with this issue. " Booking experience was seemless via Auto Europe, but would have expected some additional checks to ensure that experiences such as ours do not occur. The other companies told us that Enterprise tends to overbook and that was likely the reason why they found an excuse not to give us a car. "
" Enterprise refused to give us a vehicle and canceled the booking, on the basis of showing them a UK driving license (which legally is still recognised as valid by the EU). They claimed they needed two driving licenses (which is not feasible as i had exchanged the Greek one for a UK) and that the passport and the driving license needs to be from the same country. They would not accept that despite Brexit, UK driving licenses are still valid and claimed that under their terms and conditions, UK driving licences are considered "international". This left us stranded at the airport, with two young children, a pushchair and buggage, looking for another car. Worth noting that all other companies accepted the driving license as expected, but we ended up having to pay double the price. "

" I had requested on-site pickup in my search and hadn't appreciated it wasn't on-site at all and had to wait 30 minutes to be picked up and transported off-site. I also paid for a full tank on pick up and return full however, when getting to the Enterprise counter, this option wasn't given and I had to pay for half a tank and was told to take the car back empty - not my preferred option and what I paid for. They also didn't have an automatic car so had to accept a manual. Over the personnel were fine and the car was good quality but the above spoilt the experience somewhat. "

However the Auto Europe booking said Alicante Airport, the pick up location was not clear that it was an off Airport transfer by coach and return to the Enterprise car registration office and car compound. No directions were given by Enterprise on the directions to the compound for the return of the car, drove around an industrial estate for nearly 10 minutes. Also all the documentation for the hire of the car sent by email to me was all in Spanish. Also when the car was returned and inspected it was only verbally communicated to me that everything was ok but no confirmation email. "

" The great thing is that Enterprise car rental staff seem to be properly customer orientated:). And think 'let's ask what would suit the customer' When the lady whom we picked the car up from realised that later in the hire period there would be 5 persons and that the cabrio that had been ear-marked for me (even though I hadn't selected this option it would have been a very nice free upgrade) would not be practicable she gave us the option of taking a hard top mid size compact car of the class I had originally ordered and that would accommodate 5 people or a'dirty' half-filled auto SUV ('dirty' being a relative term in car rental terms - very clean inside and just a bit dusty outside). The smaller compact car being easier to drive and park around the crowded Spanish towns but the SUV being more spacious - I took the SUV for the space. The important thing is that she thought to let me make a decision rather than just doing what was easiest for her - great customer service. + no waiting on collection or delivery + On dropping off the car the Enterprise representative can see the car (the distance from the office to the car is 20 metres) and I don't know if it was just luck or by design but she waited until all 5 people had got out of the car and got all their stuff sorted before appearing rather than 'pouncing' on us and processing the check-in whilst we were checking bags, wallets, passports sorting stuff out etc - waiting to appear at just the right time - is that a trained behaviour, luck or just a reflection of the staff you employ? Will continue to use Enterprise - you keep delivering above expectations. Well done :) "

We were supplied with a very different car which , when driving on any road and particularly in Andorran mountains struggled with acceleration and hills , grinding to a slow slow drive . This was very frustrating considering we paid a premium for a car that would have some power . Enterprise advised us that whilst we may have booked a seat Leon standard with auto Europe they had been provided different information and therefore provided a low spec car . This was very frustrating and disappointing and we were unhappy with Autoeurope for not delivering what we had paid for . This is wrong and we would like this to be reviewed please "

" I was dealt with at the counter by Kensa and she told me the car was full of diesel and I could bring it back without fuelling it as the hire company fuel rate was cheaper than a fuel station. I drove the car for 247 kilometers and brought it back just under three quarters full (photo proof is available) I have now been billed 61,42 euros inc. tax. for fuel. This is grossly excessive bearing in mind that today on line diesel in Menorca is quoted at 1,31 euro per litre. The capacity of the fuel tank is stated to be 53 litres therefore if the tank had been filled fully at today's price it would have cost 69,43 euro. I have been either been lied to about the refuelling policy or there is an error somewhere in the system causing me to be over charged. "

" Auto Europe provides the wrong instructions to find the hire car in Palma and there was significant extra insurance to pay. Enterprise were overall good but I am not happy witH auto Europe as a broker. "

" My dissatisfaction is rather more with Dollar, who our original booking was with, but as it only covers Enterprise below and as Dollar are your partner, you should have some sway with Dollar. They refused to give us a car because we were a day late, even though the car was booked for a fortnight. You said we had to forfeit our money and pay again, so to get us on our holiday we booked with Enterprise through you. The contract was for car hire for a fortnight, so however late we were, there should have been a car available. We are pursuing this further. Hertz have been a terrible company to deal with before and I don't think you should be dealing with them if they give their customers grief like this. Based on this I can't recommend you. "

" Booked a Seat Ibiza or equivalent on the basis that it would be big enough to take a bike bag. On arrival was informed that we were to have a Nissan Micra. Staff offered a VW Golf at an extra cost of 42 Euros but eventually supplied a Hyundai free of charge. Difficult to see that a Seat Ibiza is classed as the same size as a Nissan Micra. It was all resolved. Excellent procedure to pick up a car full of fuel and return it full. I would say all tourists do not like paying for a tank of fuel up front which they may not use. "

" No problems so far with the cars that I have hired. The only thing to watch out for is when you pick up the car and to note any dints or scratches. Enterprise were not that concerned about any small dints and scratches as they had a kind of card that they put over them when I brought it up when I picked up the car. They told me anything within the card was OK for enterprise. This may not always be the same with other Car hiring companies so check. All in all I am happy with Auto Europe. The real test would be if I had any issues though and how it was dealt with. Thankyou. "

" The Auto Europe website provided separate options for the "back full" and "back empty" options but that didn't follow through directly to the booking with Enterprise. That said it wasn't a problem to re-state that choice at the pickup desk as it as offered as an option by the rep. "
" Zero queues at either pickup or drop off, unlike the large queues at the Firefly and Goldcar desks so we were very pleased with that choice. Staff were very helpful and genuine, including how to find the nearest petrol station on our return. Car was great spec and almost new, no problems with the return process. Only problem was carrying the child seat from the pickup desk to the car (5 mins) along with two large suitcases, our own baby car seat, pushchair and toddler/infant. Would have been great if it could have been in the car already when we arrived. "
