" It was a bit confusing as it wasn't in the voucher we have to pick up the car at the Europcar, so we were looking for a sign for Auto Europe,but didn't find anywhere at the Innsbruck airport, so we had to ask other car rental office's staff to help find it and they told us it's the Europcar. My suggestion is to notify the customers at least on the voucher. Apart from this little thing we are absolutely happy with the company, highly recommended Thank you Auto Europe "

" The main problem was being overcharged an unauthorised amount upon my return for a unrequested better car than the one originally booked provided at the airport. " Our flight was delayed because of bad weather in innsbruck, so we were diverted to Salzburg. i informed europcar as soon as I landed that we would be late picking the car up as we had a bus transfer to innsbruck. i have evidence of this call. this call WAS NOT put through to the innsbruck office who subsequently left the office. When we arrived at the office, there was nobody there and nopone to telephone if the office was unattended - unlike the other rental offices. There was a sign suggesting somebody would be back in 90 minutes! We therefore waited until an extremely rude and abrupt man arrived claiming he didn't know about us. he subsequently charged us for a rental commencing outside office hours -54.45EUR, which we had to pay or we would not have been provided with the car. I understand about this charge, however it was not flagged up on the autoeurope index rates and I would only expect to pay this if the staff were available at the time we arrived - not 90 minutes later and by coincidence. i would like to claim this back and be grateful if you could advise how I go about this. "

Fortunately Christine Errhalt the representative there stayed on after closing time to hand over the car to us. It really should have been brought to our attention more prominently than somewhere in the Terms and Conditions. Our other criticism was the Polo was terribly underpowered to tackle the mountains of Austria, however it was reliable and very economical. I'm very happy to use Auto Europe and Europcar again in the future. "
