" Everything was good except for the drop-off of our rental car in Paris. We planned to return it at Paris Airport. After an unexpected change of our booked flight, we had to take the train. This means that we had to drop off the car at the train station. However, finding the exact drop-off location took us several hours as the place that we searched over the internet and also told by the lady in Hamburg office was incorrect. Eventually we ended up of having to send one person to walk toward the Europcar office in the train station building (it turned out there are two sections, North and South) and get the exact location. We wish the public drop-off location will be changed by someone to reflect the true location so that the next person renting the car and decide to change the drop-off location to Paris train station will not have to drive around without knowing the drop-off address is wrong. "

" I was delighted by the help and advice offered on your helpline about collecting a car after 10pm and then the ease of changing my hire provider. However, having booked the car through European, the first thing the desk attendant did was offer me a more expensive car (offer not accepted due to significant additional cost). To avoid paying any excess, I asked for insurance and this cost more than the actual rental (and much more than most other providers at Munich airport). The car was then not in the location I was told and after about half an hour of looking, I was fortunate enough to bump into a Europcar employee who managed to locate it (approx 150m from the car park space that was written on my ticket). Finally, when hiring a car, one assumes that all services etc. are up to date. However, whenever the car was started a warning was displayed that the car was over 6000Km overdue a service. All in all not my best car hire experience and I am not sure I will advising the guests that book my holiday house to have a similar experience. "

" As the car was to collect in one location and drop off at another, I did wonder about the car I would get. The car seemed to have dents and marks on it, it was an Astra and I'd have liked a Golf as booked, but same category. The damage seemed listed on the forms. The agent was disinterested and on a cigarette break when we arrived and had to reopen the shop to tend to the booking. He just told me to find the car in the car park - very disengaged. The car ran well and was very fuel efficient, no issues. When I returned the car, the agent was not impressed with the car, he pointed out a number of marks, and then I gave him the paperwork to review and he pointed out that many issues were wrongly marked on the form and that I would have to pay. I did not like the tone he spoke to me, it was very accusatory, especially when he asked whether I had had an accident. I was not happy and said that I had worried that people had tried to move a "bad car" between agencies and that this was not my fault! He seemed to realise that there were issues that did not align and backtracked. But by this time I was unimpressed by the experience- I would have expected more from Europcar!! I still have not got an email to confirm that the issues are in order and am dreading the first message to be a charge in my MasterCard which I will chargeback! Not impressed. I will think carefully about using again. "

Last time we hired a car from Munich, this was the case, but with a different provider (Alamo), not Europcar. we were invoiced for 810.75 euros at the end of the trip and only 50 euros related to the additional driver. The amount we had already paid through auto europe only covered 446.42 euros so we had a big additional bill to pay on top of what we had paid. I don't know what all the extra surcharges were for as the invoice isn't clear - apart form the additional driver which we had expected to pay extra for. "
