So I lost all of the money that I paid. The requirement to provide a credit card was not mentioned prior to booking and only at the very, very end of a long rental voucher. What changes are AutoEurope planning to make to their process and documentation to ensure that the requirement to bring a credit card is appropriately messaged to your customers? " Upon arrival at Milan Bergamo airport, we went to the area where car hire companies are based. We could not find Felirent. We were informed that we needed to take a shuttle bus but would need tto take a long walk to where the bus would be. We walked with all of our luggage and found the stopping point. We waited for 25 minutes before a rough and ready mini bus arrived. We were driven for about another 20 minutes. We needed to change our driver and were told that this was impossible. The receptionist was unhelpful and unpleasant. When I politely pressed him for more help, he suggested we go back to the airport and book with another company!!! We reluctantly got back on their shuttle bus back to the airport and went to the Avis counter who were very helpful and sorted out a car within 15 minutes. We were finally on our way. "

We called the offices and we were instructed to wait at a roundabout where we would be picked up and taken to Felirent's location. After 15 minutes or so a driver arrived and took us to what can only be described as a drive across wasteland. Once we arrived we had to wait for the agent to allocate us a car, we had requested a Jeep and were given a Skoda. The drive out of the area was full of potholes and blind bends. We reached a junction where we had to take risks to join the highway, it was awful. When it was time to return the vehicle it took an hour(!) Where we had to start getting assertive due to our flight time. I had to ask for a lift back to the airport due to be ignored by the agents. It was very stressful as we had a flight to catch and the airport was very busy. Will never use Felirent again! "

The car was as described, in excellent condition, and came with modern features. e.g. Android Auto, parking camera, parking sensors, lane monitoring, etc. Paperwork / admin took longer than expected (about 20 minutes, even though I had everything to hand), and required signing a document at lease seven times. The fuel tank wasn't quite as full as claimed. Returning the vehicle was smooth and efficient and no problems were encountered. Felirent is located outside the perimeter of Palermo airport, a 13 minutes drive on a highway (I timed it and didn't appreciate the driving style of the shuttle bus driver either). This cannot be deemed an airport location under any circumstance's. There was no possibility to drop off the car outside of office hours - no use should one have an early morning flight. Counter staff informed me that I got an "upgrade" on arrival. Some upgrade - a car that had been put through its paces (53k km on the odometer), dirty and with clutch that was about to give way. Staff were polite.... "

" Hello - I rented a car from Felirent and it turns out the car was not in safe driving condition, which was not spotted when I picked it up, but I had to drive 3 hours back to the rental agency the next day as the entire front panel of the underside of the car was dragging on the ground. When I picked up the car, I told them that it looked like the car had been in an accident as the front was all scratched and dented, and they assured me that it wasn't, and wouldn't swap the car out at that time. This was clearly a lie and forced me to waste a day of my holiday driving it back to return it. When I brought it back, the front desk staff said it wasn't their responsibility, that I needed to check the car, they didn't apologise or offer anything in terms of compensation. I spent my first whole day of holiday dealing with a rental car - which is not great. "

Overall I wish I didn't add on the sat nav as we could have not paid and still just used our phone. The service was very poor and we felt like we were a bit of a nuisance for them. "
