I read online reviews when I received the voucher before I arrived in DUBROVNIK but thought I'd give it a chance and not believe the genuine reviews who all had a similar experience to me with old, unsafe vehicles. Auto Europe should not use green motion if they want to keep a god reputation. "
" I was very disappointed with the poor quality of car having booked through what I believed to be a reputable company - Auto Europe. I wasn't aware that green motion was the actual provider and if you look at online reviews you will see that people have had similar experiences to me. They said that the small fiat 500 (or similar) wasn't available so they provided an upgrade - an old Mercedes suv. The car was too big, have dents/scratches on every panel (I can send the check in documents), had tyre pressure Waring lights on, air bag inactive lights on and the suspension clanked every time the car went over a usual road bump. In short the vehicle wasn't fit for a hire car and not fit for what I expected from Auto Europe. "

" Very efficient and friendly staff! First of all our initial flight got cancelled so we got there a day later. But it was okay to postpone the pick-up. We got picked up from the airport and after a few minutes journey we arrived at the green motion office. The car got parked outside the door by one member of staff while we went through the paperwork with another. No fuss at all. Same when returning the car. Completely free from any hassle. The only downside was that it took around two week before the deposit got released on the credit card. "

When we arrived told there were no BMWs and gave us an old, damaged Skoda estate. Will never use them again. We landed at 9.40 PM, so I called again and asked if he could stay open for me - the answer was a firm "we close at 10 PM" so I arranged to return for the car the next morning and took an (expensive) cab to my accommodation and back to Green Motion the following morning. When I arrived, the car hire agent informed me that he had rented the SUV I had booked to another customer. He said he didn't think I would come back for it. Instead of a spacious SUV I was offered a Skoda with 185,000 miles on the clock with at least 12-15 serious scratches and dents, a wheel trim missing and a warning sign saying "oil service overdue." It was the only car available. I have been using AutoEurope for many years, but this is the second time this year the company has introduced a hiring agent that falls below expected minimum standards. "

" The office was shut when I went to collect my car at the designated time of 1pm. There was a phone number listed on the notice on the window but when I rang the number no one picked up. In a panic situation because we needed to get to Split in a rush, we went to Hotel Bellevue 100 metres away where the concierge told us that there had been lots of disgrunted customers coming to them from the Green Motion company. The concierge arranged for us to hire another car at short noticve from the Mack company but as this cost me over 200 euros, I wil be seeking a complete refund from Auto Europe. Why do Auto Europe continue to have any connection with such an disreputable firm as Green Motion? "
