EUR28 per day, when I have my own extra excess cover and booked yours too, is overly onerous. He said it was the only way to secure the car and booking. Car was pleasure to drive very smooth and quiet and didn't feel underpowered despite only have a very tiny 1litre turbo charged petrol engine. Also well equipped with wireless air CarPlay which was also very convenient for using google maps sat nav for my phone. Pick up was very convenient and easy as was the drop off which was super quick! There was a person wanting who checked car over striaght away got me to sign paperwork and refunded the deposit immediately. Highly recommend "

" The pick-up process was very easy and the car was as expected. The price was very reasonable, however it does seem that €59 is excessive for a border fee. When we arrived to return the car at 3pm on a weekday, the door was locked and no one was in the office. We waited at least 15 mins, but no one arrived, so we had to resort to placing the keys in the after hours box though we would've liked to complete in person. Overall though, the service was good and we would rent with them again. "

" Pick up was fine. Helpful and efficient, no hard sell on extras, offered but backed off when declined. Car had several marks and dents. One on the wheel hub was marked down on the wrong wheel. We didn't notice until dropped off and checked by Agio staff. He also noted a dent to the seal line below the drivers door, which was not marked on the sheet at all. I confirmed that we had not had any accidents or struck anything. The dirt in this area was consistent with the rest of the car and he stated he believed me. However, the car would be checked later and matched to their paperwork and I may be charged. As they have charged £1,000 to my credit card, they could easily claim this as my fault. We didn't notice this dent on pick up , as we did not check the seal lines. Very unusual place to get a dent. I'm annoyed and feel I will fight this if they do try and charge me for this, as I know for definite that we didn't hit anything. They are correctly charging me 15 euros for local taxes and a further 35 euros for cross border insurance. As after collecting the car we decided to cross the borders into Italy and Austria, so I phoned to add this option on. "

I would like a refund for the named 2nd driver (€30) at the very least as he didn't drive and i felt pressured into paying it because it was either lose £57.10 and find another company or pay an extra £55.00 to ensure we had a car. Obviously we are willing to pay for petrol and although i think we should have been made aware about the motorway charge we are willing to pay that. I am not happy to pay for a second named driver just so that we can leave a credit card! "

" Overall a good experience. The car had significant undocumented damages, which I had to call an employee to take note of. There was a line of people waiting when I wanted to drop off and only one employee, I waited for half an hour and then just dropped off the key since I had a flight to catch. That seemed to have been ok. "

" When I called to complain the person who took the call said they were correct to charge an out of hours fee and didn't know what a vignette is. "
" On collection I was charged 36 euros for a "vignette" despite my documents stating that there was nothing to pay locally. I was also charged £25 out of hours fee although my collection time was 22:00. It clearly states on my rental voucher that any pre booked collections between 22;00 and 08:00 will already be included in the price. Despite the claim that their office is open 24/7, there was nobody in the office at 20:30. I therefore had to leave the car unchecked and I am very anxious that I will be charged for damage that isn't there. Very poor service all round. "

" Our flight from Stansted arrived very late due to weather conditions over Europe all the hire car desks had stayed open with the exception of the Advant desks the staff having all gone home. The only option was to hire a taxi at cost of 50 euro's, the following day I contacted Advantcar and to be fair they did deliver the car but what about the 50 euro's that fell on deaf ears, I'm still waiting !!!! "

" I am extremely disappointed with my Auto Europe experience. I booked with Auto Europe as it offered a competitive rate and a pick up 0.4 km from my hotel. However, on receiving my Auto Europe voucher the pick up address was: LJUBLJANA CITY OFFICE DOLENJSKA CESTA 244? Thus, we took a taxi to this address, which cost us 26 Euros and when we got there the office was closed - lukily, someone was still at the office and saw us outside. Had this person not seen us, we would have had to take another taxi back to the city and not got the car that we needed for that evening. This is a serious failing on the part of Auto Europe and I look forward to hearing from you regrading how you will compensate us for the taxi and inconvenience. Regards Jon "

It felt like they were trying to charge extra under false pretences, but I couldn't be sure. Might be something to follow up if other customers say the same.
