Car hire in Slovenia with Auto Europe

Nestled in the south of the Central Europe, Slovenia is a predominantly mountainous country with breathtaking vistas of the Alps, green forests and valleys. Almost half of Slovenia is covered by woods, which makes it one of the greenest countries in the world. Slovenia lies by the Adriatic Sea and borders with Italy to the west, Austria to the north, Hungary to the east, and Croatia to the south. This setting makes Slovenia the perfect destination for traveling around southern Europe.

The centrally located capital city, Ljubljana, is the country's economic and cultural hub. Bled Lake, one of the country's landmarks, is only 35 miles away and the drive from Ljubljana will take you around an hour. Lake Bled features a picturesque island castle. Another point of interest, except for the Adriatic coast, is Maribor, Slovenia's second largest city. It is found on the north east of the country, with the Baroque Maribor Castle and charming old town.
